Memorandum

To All Staff Members and Employees

From Operations Manager

Subject: Best resource usage and sustainability practices


Major Purpose of the Memo: This memo has been developed and prepared to educate you about
the critical issues that we are facing about the energy consumption, waste management and how we
can reduce the energy waste by taking some precautions and following the guidelines.
Identify and Understanding the issues: We acknowledge that we will have the choice of having
effective vitality preservation, according to the organization's Sustainability Policy and Procedures
which have been developed and also being followed to great extent. We have achieved remarkable
results over time with the support of all the team members from every department. LED lights,
sensors, bins with instructions have been implemented to reduce the amount of energy used and
managing waste disposal properly. Regardless, we continue to consume a lot of energy. We must
stick to those rules and guidelines which have been provided to further improve in order to reduce
costs while still assisting the planet with sustainability.
Recommendations or Guidelines for Sustainability Initiatives: At all times, I expect all of you to be
involved in this procedure to follow these guidelines to moderate vitality use for improvement. Here are
the list of some key points to remember:

A. When the lights, TV or any other electrical appliances are not in use, Kindly switch off to avoid
unnecessary waste of energy.

B. For appliances such as Computers, Printers use the energy saving features provided like
hibernate or sleep mode when they are not being used.

C. Use emails, messages or other similar mode of communication wherever possible instead of
writing to reduce the amount of paper used as well as amount of energy used.

D. Ensure to dispose of the waste properly in correct bins provided and keep recyclable items
and reusable items separately.

E. Conduct Virtual meetings instead of in-person meetings to save use of plastic and papers
cups.

F. Turn off the water faucet or taps when not required and inform the management if there are
leakages.

G. Report to the appropriate authority if someone is not following these rules and found to be
irresponsible.

I respect our cooperation and hope for more improvement in these sectors for better outcome for
sustainable workplace environment.
