Dear Mr. Jamal
I am writing to apply for the KAIST research summer program for student position that was listed in the
University Career Services Office. I believe that my research plan makes me an ideal candidate.
I have experienced several research projects in chemistry, microbiology, and genetics, both in the lab (wet-lab)
and also in the field (dry-lab). Most of my experiences are in environmental field studies. I am proposing
research in aquatic ecology lab to assess the effect of biofloc technology on shrimp aquaculture post-larval
growth. I know that KAIST has concerns about increasing the aquatic products level this year, and I recognize
myself as a potential person to contribute to this aim.
Last summer, I worked in an internship program as a marine conservation assistant at the Kuala Namu’s Water
Cluster Farm. Along with marine microbial assessment and analysis, I also served as a research assistant at the
research centre there. I conducted the microbial sampling method, analyzed the components, made specific
media for bacterial dan fungus growth, and others. I received a special reward from the head of research there
for my attention to detail and dedication.
I believe that I would be an asset to your program. This summer program would provide me with the ideal
opportunity to learn and expand my research skills. I am looking forward to the result and I hope to hear from
you about this opportunity. Please also read my CV and my portfolio on the attachments. Thank you for your
consideration.

Jeffrey Dean

Top Hill University
1A Top Hill, Sheffield

Dear Dr Haynes,
I'd like to apply for the Pulsar Space Fellowship as I feel my educational background sets me apart as a
candidate for the award. I graduated from Top Hill University with a Ph.D. in Astronomy. My work in the field
of astronomy and astrophysics has helped shape my project and prepared me for further work in mapping
new celestial bodies within the Pulsar Space laboratories. My advisors recommended I apply for this fellowship
after I earned the Horizons Research award for my work in exploring the impact of dark energy in nearby star
clusters.
So far, my work in the field has allowed me to explore the impact of dark energy on various celestial
bodies, supported by my skills in particle physics and planetary formation. After completing a period of
research on how dark matter and dark energy impact various entities, I'm looking to expand my knowledge of
the field and provide a deeper contribution to research at Top Hill University by utilizing the high-powered
equipment at Pulsar Space laboratories. This fellowship allows me to progress further in the field.
With your help, I believe the Pulsar Space Fellowship would allow me to plan and execute a successful
program while supporting my living conditions. Please find my proposal and CV attached, which have further
details about my proposed project and my background.
Thanks again for your consideration and I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
Jeffrey Dean
