Create a lesson plan on topic factors:
Lesson Title: Exploring Factors
Class Strength: 25 students
Grade Level and Section: Grade 4, Section A
Short Description: This lesson aims to introduce Grade 4 students to the concept of factors in
mathematics. Students will explore what factors are, how to identify them, and their significance
in multiplication and division.
Classroom Layout and Grouping of Students: Students will be arranged in a peer.
Instructional Objectives:
 Understand the definition of factors.
 Identify factors of given numbers.
 Demonstrate how factors relate to multiplication and division.
 Apply knowledge of factors to solve problems.
Previous Knowledge: Students should have a basic understanding of multiplication and division
concepts, including multiplication tables up to 10.
Material Resources and Technology:
 Whiteboard and markers
 Worksheets on factors
 Multiplication and division flashcards
 Interactive multiplication/division game (optional)
Students' Present Level of Performance and Skills:
Students have a foundational understanding of multiplication and division. Some may already be
familiar with the concept of factors, while others may need more guidance.
Instructional Procedure:
Introduction:
 Begin by asking students to recall what they know about multiplication and division.
 Introduce the concept of factors using simple examples and illustrations.
 Define factors as numbers that divide exactly into another number.
 Provide examples to clarify the concept.
Presentation:
 Engage students in a whole-class discussion on identifying factors of a number.
 Demonstrate how to find factors of numbers using division and multiplication.
 Use visuals such as arrays or diagrams to illustrate factor pairs.

2
Activities:
Pair Work: Distribute worksheets with numbers for students to identify and list factors.
Multiplication and Division Practice: Use flashcards or interactive games to reinforce the
relationship between factors, multiplication, and division.
Problem Solving: Present word problems involving factors for students to solve individually or
in small groups.
Adaptation for Special Students:
 Provide visual aids and manipulatives for tactile learners.
 Offer additional support through one-on-one assistance or peer tutoring.
 Break down instructions into smaller steps for students with learning disabilities.
Wrap Up:
 Review key concepts covered in the lesson.
 Encourage students to share any questions or observations.
 Summarize the importance of factors in mathematics.
Students' Product:
Each student will complete a worksheet listing factors of given numbers. Additionally, they will
demonstrate their understanding of factors through problem-solving activities and class
discussions.

Create a lesson plan on topic Multiples:

Lesson Title: Exploring Multiples
Class Strength: 25 students
Grade Level and Section: Grade 4, Section A
Short Description: This lesson will introduce students to the concept of multiples through
interactive activities and discussions.
Classroom Layout and Grouping of Students: Students will be arranged in small groups of 4-
5 for collaborative activities. Desks will be arranged in a circular fashion to facilitate group
discussions.
Instructional Objectives:
 Understand the concept of multiples.
 Identify multiples of given numbers.
 Apply knowledge of multiples to solve problems.
Previous Knowledge: Students should have a basic understanding of multiplication and
division.

3
Material Resources and Technology: Whiteboard, markers, worksheets, pencils, ruler, colored
pens, and projector for multimedia presentations (optional).
Students' Present Level of Performance and Skills: Students have a basic understanding of
multiplication and division. Some may struggle with identifying multiples initially.
Instructional Procedure:
Introduction: Begin by asking students what they understand about multiplication. Discuss
briefly and introduce the concept of multiples.
Presentation: Use visual aids such as a multiplication table to illustrate multiples. Show
examples of multiples of different numbers.
Activities:
Group Activity: Give each group a set of numbers and ask them to identify multiples.
Encourage discussion within groups.
Worksheet Practice: Distribute worksheets with exercises on identifying multiples. Walk
around to provide assistance as needed.
Interactive Game: Play a game where students have to call out multiples of a given number.
Adaptation for Special Students: Provide manipulatives or visual aids for students with special
needs to help them grasp the concept better. Pair them with a buddy for support during activities.
Wrap Up: Review key concepts covered in the lesson and ask students to summarize what they
learned about multiples.
Students' Product: Students will demonstrate their understanding of multiples through
completed worksheets and participation in group activities.
