Unit 6:Think of a natural or cultural heritage in Vietnam (such as a site, a tradition, a fesstival or
a form of music then answer the following question:
- Why is it important to protect the heritage?
- How do you contribute to preserving it
As a Vietnamese citizen, I admire and am proud of the hundreds of natural and cultural heritages
that Vietnam has amassed over its existence and growth. But in my view, the most distinctive legacy
of Vietnamese art forms that we possess is Ca Tru.
Ca Tru is a unique art form that combines poetry, singing, and instrumental music. Its origins be
traced back to the 14th century, and it embodies the traditional expression and way of life of the
Vietnamese people.
Because it reflects Vietnamese emotions, storytelling and culture. Preserving Ca tru cultural
identity is important to the Vietnamese people. In other words, ensuring it is protected will ensure
that future generations will inherit this inheritage. In addition, Ca tru is also a beautiful and
sophisticated art form thanks to its complex melody, eloquent verses and skillfully performed
musical accompaniment. Therefore, protecting, maintaining and performing Ca Tru will ensure its
survival, and so that future generations can continue to enjoy it.
To aid in the preservation of Ca Tru. First, we can educate ourselves about it by learning more
about Ca Tru's background, musical preferences, and stage presence. Official recordings of Ca Tru
performances are, in my opinion, a wonderful method to preserve, learn about, and express
admiration for the art form. Secondly, we may search for festivals or events featuring Ca Tru.
Attending them demonstrates interest in and gives the artists financial support. Additionally, we
ought to raise awareness by discussing Ca Tru with friends and family. Exchanging information
might pique people's curiosity and motivate them to study more.
Unit 7: Would you consider pursuing vocational training or choosing a university after leaving
high school? Why do you think you choice is better than the orther
Without a doubt, going to college would be my first choice after high school, as it aligns more
with my own individual goals and strengths.
Vocational training, in my opinion, can provide specialized instruction for particular occupations
at a lower cost and in a shorter amount of time than universities, frequently resulting in a quicker job
placement. However, I think it cannot be compared to a university in terms of theoretical
understanding or research prospects.
To be more specific, university education unquestionably offers a more comprehensive
intellectual background, which may open up a greater range of professional choices. In addition,
universities frequently offer robust research programs that enable further exploration of particular
subjects. Additionally, they can help develop important soft skills like cooperation, communication,
and critical thinking.
Unit 8: Which life skill(s) do you think teenager need in order to become independent? Why?
Due to my personal adolescent experience, I firmly believe that the three most crucial soft skill
pillars that a teenager should master to become a responsible, independent individual are critical
thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Since critical thinking entails problem-solving, information analysis, and well-informed decision-
making. It helps teenagers make wise decisions in all facets of life and maneuver through
challenging circumstances.
In terms of communication skills, I'd say these include the ability to explain oneself clearly, listen
intently, and successfully resolve dispute. Being able to advocate for oneself, thrive in school and the
workplace, and establish and sustain good relationships all require strong communication skills.
Last but not least, interpersonal skills include establishing and preserving wholesome bonds with
other people. Teens can learn empathy, collaboration, and teamwork from this, all of which are
crucial for success in both the personal and professional spheres.
Unit 9: What is cyberbullying? How does it affecct the victims? What can you do to defend
yourself agains it?
According to what I know, cyberbullying is the use of electronic communication to bully a
person, generally by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening nature. Anywhere on the
internet, including chat rooms, social media, gaming platforms, and messaging apps, people can
experience it.
Victims of this type of bullying may have the most extreme effects. In addition, victims may
experience feelings of shame, loneliness, rage, despair, and worry. Even suicidal thoughts or deeds
may result from it. Cyberbullying can also lead to a person's sense of worthlessness and a loss of
self-esteem. As a teenager and current student, I also think that it may result in issues with school. In
particular, cyberbullying can make it difficult for a victim to focus in class, which can result in
missed lectures or complete dropout rates.
From my point of view, the best method to stop this kind of bullying is to not respond, as this
will only give the bullies the gratification they seek and exacerbate the situation. In addition, I would
save screenshots or copies of the communications as proof in case I had to notify the authorities
about the bullying.
Unit 10: What does the ecosystem inclue? How is the current condition of your local ecosystem?
What can you do to restore and/ or protect it?
The physical surroundings of all living things (plants, animals, and microorganisms) in a given
area, such as soil, water, and air, are collectively referred to as the ecosystem. The current status of
my local environment can vary based on the specific place, but overall, there are concerns about
pollution, and climate change hurting local biodiversity.
As a student, I believe that the greatest way to minimize the burden on ecosystems is to reduce
human influence by making mindful decisions like using less energy, consuming fewer resources,
and minimizing pollution. It is also beneficial to support sustainable practices and steer clear of those
that exacerbate environmental issues.
