BITS Pilani, Deemed to be University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956
• India is a World third largest producer and third largest consumer of Electricity --- per capita = 900 kwh, units
• As per IEA ( International Energy Agency) the energy demand will
triple in Next 20 Yrs.
• The country has planned to take current contribution of renewables
from 20% to 33% by 2022 --- Solar PV & Wind.
• India aims to become 100 % Electric driven nation by 2030.
Launched ---- FAME India

What is an Electric Circuit / Network ? What is an Electric Circuit /Network AWhat is an Electric Collection Circuit of electric /Network (e.g. voltage and components current source, resistors, inductors, capacitors, operational amplifiers, transformers and transistors) that are interconnected in some manner.
Process of determining the behavior of a given circuit is referred to
as Circuit Analysis.

• An independent voltage source maintains a voltage (fixed or varying with time) which is not affected by any other quantity.
• Similarly an independent current source maintains a current
(fixed or time-varying) which is unaffected by any other quantity.

DEPENDENT SOURCES • Dependent Voltage Source or controlled voltage source, provides a voltage supply whose magnitude depends on either the voltage across or current flowing through some other circuit element.
• A dependent voltage source is indicated with a diamond shape
and are used as equivalent electrical sources for many electronic devices, such as transistors and operational amplifiers.

BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus Dependent Sources
There are four possible dependent sources as are represented
below,
• Voltage dependent voltage source.
• Current dependent voltage source. • Voltage dependent current source. • Current dependent current source.
