I.H.shames Chapter 2 24.06.10

The document contains solutions to multiple physics problems involving vector addition and subtraction. Problem 2.1 asks to add a 20N force in the x-direction to a 50N force at 45 degrees in the first quadrant, finding the magnitude and direction of the resulting force. Problem 2.2 asks to subtract the 20N force from the 50N force in problem 2.1. Problem 2.3 asks to add three vectors graphically and analytically in the xy-plane.

2.2

Subtract the 20 N force from in problem 2.1 from the 50 N force.

Answer: In the figure forces 20N and 50N are represented in magnitude, direction and sense by OA and OB respectively.
