Application Instructions

Amazon RDS Service Delivery Program Summary


Amazon RDS Service Delivery Partners provide services for Amazon RDS, which manages complex and time-consuming
administrative tasks such as PostgreSQL software installation and upgrades; storage management; replication for high
availability and read throughput; and backups for disaster recovery. Amazon RDS Service Delivery Partners deliver new
implementations or migrate AWS customers to Amazon RDS. The Amazon RDS Service Delivery Program validates
Partners for delivering RDS solutions by individual engine type including Amazon Aurora MySQL, Amazon Aurora
PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS for MySQL, Amazon RDS for MariaDB, Amazon RDS for Oracle,
and Amazon RDS for SQL Server.

Program Benefits
All existing Amazon RDS Partners need to submit updated case study documentation by May 31, 2021 to maintain their
designation. Amazon RDS Service Delivery Partners receive public designation with engine-level expertise on the Amazon
RDS website and promotional activities to help them grow their existing business and connect with customers. They also
receive preferred access to service trainings, roadmap webinars, and events to help them further develop their capabilities

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Review the Amazon RDS Service Delivery Validation Checklist to understand what is required.
2. Document a minimum of two (2) AWS customer case studies meeting the updated Amazon RDS Service Delivery
Validation Checklist requirements:
a. For the first database engine, provide two (2) case studies
b. For each additional engine, only one (1) case study is required (e.g. Partner with database expertise in
Amazon Aurora MySQL, Amazon RDS for MySQL, and Amazon RDS for Oracle may submit the following: (2)
Amazon Aurora MySQL case studies, (1) Amazon RDS for MysQL case study, and (1) Amazon RDS for
Oracle case study.)
3. Complete the self-assessment spreadsheet for each case study that you intend to submit.
4. Submit your Case Studies in APN Partner Central:
 Log in to APN Partner Central.
 Click "View My APN Account" in the Quick Links menu.
 Scroll to the “Service Delivery and Service Ready Case Studies” section.
 Click "New" to add your Case Study, or “Edit” if you will be updating an existing Case Study that meets the
requirements in the Amazon RDS Service Delivery Validation Checklist.
 Fill in the “Company Name” (your customer), “Case Study Title” and “Case Study Short Description” fields.
 Mark if the case study is “Public” or “Private”. Note: Public case studies are published in Partner Solution
Finder and can help provide prospective customers more insight on your expertise. Content must be in
English, in the third person, and must follow APN Partner messaging guidelines.

Application Instructions

 Include the required details listed on the validation checklist within your Case Study submission.
i. For the “Problem Statement/Definition” and “Proposed Solution & Architecture” fields please provide a
brief narrative on what the problem and proposed solutions are.
ii. “End Date of Project” must be within the past 18 months and not set in the future.
iii. For the “Outcomes of Project & Success Metrics”, “Describe TCO Analysis Performed”, and “Lessons
Learned” fields please provide a brief narrative on what was achieved and how.
 Attach your completed self-assessment (referenced above) and your architecture diagram. It is only
necessary to upload each attachment once. The attachments will not be visible to you in Partner Central, but
will be uploaded in the AWS system.
 Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Save and Continue”.
 In the “Related Services” section, select “Amazon RDS”.
 Scroll to the bottom and click “Save & Continue.”
 Select “New Implementation” or “Migration from Other Solution”.
i. For a New Implementation, select what Amazon RDS engine was implemented.
ii. For a Migration from Other Solution, select “Migrated From” & “Migrated To” engines (required)
 Click “Save & Continue” then on the next page click “Submit.”
5. Email [email protected] to provide the name of the customer and title of each Case Study
submitted to APN Partner Central.

Qualification Criteria
 AWS Select, Advanced, or Premier Tier AWS Partners
 Partners that meet all requirements outlined in the Amazon RDS Service Delivery Validation Checklist
 Partners with a minimum of 2 AWS customer case studies using the engine-specific Amazon RDS practice
