You need to use Nmap tool and MS Word document to prepare and submit the assignment solution on VU-LMS.
It should be clear that your assignment will not get any credit if:

 The submitted assignment does not open or file is corrupt.
 Assignment is copied (partial or full) from any source (websites, forums, students, etc.).

Requirements:

Download and Install VirtualBox

 Download VirtualBox from the following official website

Download and Install Kali Linux on virtual box

 Download the Kali Linux from the following official website:

https://www.kali.org/get-kali/#kali-platforms

Instructions / How to Perform the Task:

Task-1

Create a Directory with VU ID:

 Open Nikto in Kali Linux.


 Create a directory using the VU ID (for example, bc1234567)

Task-2

Navigate to the Directory:

 After creating the directory, navigate into it

Task-3

Find IP Address using nslookup command:

 Use nslookup to find the IP address of the following domain

www.thetruthislam.com
Task-4

Perform Nikto Scan:

 Use Nikto to scan the obtained IP address in Task-3.

How to submit assignment solution:

Provide only one screenshot as a solution in MS word document and submit on VULMS within due date. A
sample screenshot including required commands is provided below for reference.

Note:

If the assignment solution of two students has the same ID, both will be rewarded zero marks.
