Session 1. Introduction to tourism vocabulary and virtual tours
Objective: Introduce basic tourism vocabulary and engage in speaking activities to
build confidence.
Virtual Tour. The session will start with vocabulary learning, thought a game we will

We will conduct a virtual tour of a popular tourist destination Virtual Driving Tour
Virtual Driving Tour (virtualvacation.us) Students will choose how they want to visit
the place, driving tour, walking tour or airplane fly. Students need to take notes of
weather, clothes, monuments, etc. 20 minutes
Forum. Writing activity. A post will be written by the students. “Cooperative
twitter” Teacher will ask students to access to canvas and participate in the forum.
Students will be graded according to their responses with a rubric. 30 minutes
Discussion and Reflection. Discuss the virtual tour experience with few general
ideas of what they learned and found interesting. 15 minutes
Session 2. Comprehension with Travel Articles.
Objective: Enhance reading, listening comprehension skills and practice writing
about travel with multimedia content and explore cultural perspectives.
Reading activity. An article will be read by the students, we will make a loud
reading. In this article they must underline key words and unknown words with two

Listening exercise. A podcast will be played about Travel Stories. Students will take
notes of the places they mention country, weather, etc. Learn ENGLISH with Podcasts

Students will discuss the cultural insights gained from the listening exercise and they
will compare with their own cultural experiences with their teams. We will answer
the questions with “Spin the wheel” Travel Stories - Spin the wheel (wordwall.net)
Session 3 Creative Projects
Objective: Develop speaking proficiency in practical tourism scenarios.
Presentation. A presentation will be done by the students with the country they
have chosen before they will create a travel blog post, or they will create a fictional
travel itinerary in websites such as Genially or Canva. Mentioning important aspects
such as language, currency, weather and touristic places. Each group have a
maximum of 7 minutes. While students make the presentation their classmates will
be filling a rubric with the aspects they must score. 45 minutes.
