Weekly Schedule Week 1 - ODL
Identify types of reports
Identify qualities of a good report
Recognise the main parts of a report

Week 2 -ODL
Determine research topics for the proposal
Produce online sources / articles / materials related to the topics
Use appropriate tenses for different sections of a report

Week 3 -ODL
Draft a proposal of the study
Differentiate between active and passive sentences, personal and impersonal language
Use clear and concise verb tenses

Week 4 – F2F
Synthesise, paraphrase, and cite information from the selected materials
( students submit articles for review )
Weekly Schedule Week 5 - ODL
Preparation for written and oral proposal presentation-
Submission of slides of proposal presentation and draft of proposal for feedback

Week 6 & 7 – F2F


Oral Presentation of Proposal (15 %)
Submission of Proposal (20 %)

Week 8 – F2F
Identify the different types of questionnaire items
Design and write questionnaire
Submission of questionnaire

Week 9 – F2F
Discuss and edit the items in the questionnaire
Students distribute and collect questionnaire (Google Form)
Identify ways to tabulate data

Analyse data
Write findings and conclusions using appropriate language style and conventions

Week 11 – F2F
Writing recommendations using appropriate language style and conventions
Writing the title page, terms of reference, acknowledgement, abstract and table of
contents of a report using appropriate language

Week 12 - ODL
Discuss draft of report
Students edit draft of the report
Peer assessment (5%)

Week 13 – F2F
Edit draft of the report (checking spelling, language and format)
Submit draft of full report

Week 14 - ODL
Submit Final Report (40%) & Portfolio (20%)

- 7 parts: - Significance of the study (150 words)
- Background of the Study - Limitations of the study (100 words)
- Problem Statement - Previous Studies (200 words)
- Objectives of the Study - Methodology (100 words)
- Significance of the Study - Findings (11 -15 items)
- Limitations of the Study - Conclusions
- Previous Studies - Recommendations
- Methodology • Portfolio
- 6 pages only - Articles/materials related to proposed study
- Online submission - At least 1 article per student
- info borrowed from the articles should be
highlighted
- Drafts (including corrected versions) of
proposal
- Names and dates should appear on all
entries to facilitate proof of growth over time
- copies of communication such as
WhatsApp, meeting, email etc. with timeline
to assess collaborative work
