Originality and Protection

of Intellectual Property
1. Each Entry (Submission) must be original, of the Participant’s or Participant’s
team’s own creation and must not have been entered in any other
competition or program similar to the Hackathon.
2. Entries may be subject to a due diligence review at any time for eligibility and
compliance with these Terms. Participant represents and warrants that the
Entry is and will be Participant’s or Participant’s Teams own original work and
does not and will not infringe the intellectual property or proprietary rights of
any third party, including, without limitation, any third-party patents, copyrights
or trademarks. Should third parties nonetheless file a claim for the violation of
their rights, and should such violation be the result of intentional or grossly
negligent conduct of the participant, then the participant shall be liable for any
and all damages.
3. All submissions to the Hackathon remain the intellectual property of the
individuals or teams that developed them. By registering, consenting to the
terms of the Hackathon, and submitting an Entry, however, the Participant

agrees that Entries will be published (including the code) and the organizers
and sponsors reserve an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to
use, distribute to the public, and publicly display and perform the Submission
on an educational, promotional and not-for-profit basis starting on the date of
the commencement of the Hackathon as an example of work.

Refusal of Registration
Organizers may refuse registration for the event without having to state cause and reserves the right to at any time
exclude participants from the event who have already been admitted. This applies in particular in cases in which the rules
of the game are breached, or if technical means or other manipulative aids are deployed. In such event, the organizers is
entitled to revoke the prizes and/or to demand that they be returned, as the case may be. This shall also apply should the
users fail to make truthful statements in providing their personal details.

Publicity
Except where prohibited, participation in the hackathon constitutes the participant’s consent to the New Energy Nexus
use of the participant’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, and/ or hometown and state for promotional
purposes in any media, worldwide, without payment or consideration.

Filming and Photography

There will be a photographer and videographer on-site at the event that may request an interview or statement. The
organizers reserve the right to edit, copy, distribute and publicly use the photos and video recordings for promotion. By
participating in the Hackathon, you are allowing the organizers to publish video and photos on the public domain.

Evaluation
• Shortlisting of assets in the Top 20 and Top 10 will be done by an evaluation team.
• The evaluation team will be the internal team of New Energy Nexus Indonesia
• The evaluation team will evaluate and shortlist the assets using the following criteria:
• Problem Statement– Is the proposed idea original and innovative?
• Solution – Does the proposed idea help solve the intended problem?
• Technology – How is the technology integrated to solve the intended problem?
• Business Model – Can this idea lead to a sustainable business?
• Impact – How does the idea deliver a positive impact in social, economic, environmental aspects (and other

Every applicants shall have a minimum number of 2 person team member for the registration

What’s the team size?

The minimum team size is 2 members. You can pitch alone, but then you need at least 2 to enter the development phase of the Hackathon.

Do i have to come with a working prototype to join the Hackathon?

No. At minimum, you can join with your concept idea and develop it with our guidance during the bootcamp. If you make it to the final stage, we will
provide a mentoring to help you develop your idea further.

Do i have to create a business plan with financial simulations?

No. The Hackathon focuses on developing a persuasive prototype for your idea.

Orisinalitas dan
Perlindungan Kekayaan Intelektual
1. Setiap proposal ide yang didaftarkan harus berupa karya orisinal dari peserta atau
tim, dan belum pernah diikutsertakan dalam kompetisi atau program lain yang serupa
dengan [RE]Energize Hackathon 2023

2. Peserta menerima setiap keputusan dari proses peninjauan kekayaan dan patuh
terhadap ketentuan berikut:

○ Peserta atau tim menyatakan & menjamin bahwa proposal ide yang didaftarkan
adalah karya asli dari peserta atau tim yang berpartisipasi dan tidak akan melanggar
kekayaan intelektual atau hak kepemilikan pihak ketiga manapun, tanpa batasan,
paten, hak cipta atau merek dagang pihak ketiga manapun.

○ Jika pihak ketiga, mengajukan klaim atas pelanggaran hak-haknya, dan jika
pelanggaran tersebut disebabkan oleh kesengajaan atau kelalaian peserta, maka
peserta harus bertanggungjawab atas setiap kerugiannya.

3. Semua pengiriman berkas proposal ide kepada pihak New Energy Nexus Indonesia akan

Penolakan Pendaftaran
Penyelenggara dapat menolak pendaftaran [RE]Energize Hackathon 2023 tanpa harus menyebutkan penyebabnya dan
berhak untuk setiap saat mengecualikan peserta dari acara. Hal ini berlaku khususnya dalam kasus di mana aturan
pedoman & ketentuan dilanggar, atau memanfaatkan hal bersifat manipulatif lainnya. Dalam acara [RE]Energize
Hackathon 2023, penyelenggara berhak untuk mencabut hadiah atau meminta agar dikembalikan, jika terjadi
pelanggaran. Ini juga berlaku jika pendaftar dengan sengaja / tidak sengaja membuat pernyataan yang tidak benar
dalam memberikan informasi pribadi mereka.

Publikasi
Berpartisipasi dalam [RE]Energize Hackathon 2023 berarti peserta setuju terhadap penggunaan nama, kemiripan, foto,
suara, pendapat, daerah dan negara asal peserta untuk tujuan promosi di media apa pun, di seluruh dunia, tanpa
pembayaran atau pertimbangan, kecuali jika tidak diizinkan.

Dokumentasi Video & Foto

Pihak [RE]Energize Hackathon 2023 menyediakan fotografer dan videografer saat di lokasi, yang dapat meminta wawancara atau
pernyataan pendaftar. Penyelenggara [RE]Energize Hackathon 2023 berhak mengedit, menyalin, mendistribusikan, dan
menggunakan foto dan rekaman video secara publik untuk promosi. Dengan berpartisipasi dalam [RE]Energize Hackathon 2023,
anda mengizinkan penyelenggara untuk mempublikasikan video dan foto ke publik.

Penilaian
• Pemilihan 20 tim terbaik dan 10 tim terbaik akan dilakukan oleh tim penilai.
• Tim penilai merupakan tim internal New Energy Nexus Indonesia
• Tim penilai akan mengevaluasi dan memilih tim menggunakan kriteria berikut:
• Pernyataan Masalah - Apakah ide yang diajukan orisinal dan inovatif?
• Solusi - Apakah ide yang diajukan membantu memecahkan masalah yang dimaksud?
• Teknologi - Bagaimana teknologi tersebut terintegrasi untuk memecahkan masalah yang dimaksud?
• Model Bisnis - Bisakah ide ini menjadi bisnis yang berkelanjutan?
• Dampak - Bagaimana ide tersebut memberikan dampak positif ke beberapa aspek seperti Sosial, Ekonomi,
Lingkungan (dan hal-hal terkait lainnya)?
