RRB Je
The candidates will have to satisfy the eligibility criteria of the RRB JE Recruitment. The terms of
eligibility are as follows:
Citizenship – Candidates should be a citizen of India or should be from Bhutan, and Nepal. Tibetan
Migrant can Person of India also apply but only if they fulfill the below mentioned criteria:
Tibetan Migrants – Who have come to India to settle down before January 01, 1962.
Person of India – Candidates from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African Countries, Uganda,
United Republic of Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, Vietnam, and Ethiopia who came to
India to settle down.
Age Limit – Candidates should be 18 years old. The upper age limit is 33 years.
A) RRB JE Eligibility Criteria 2019 for Junior Engineer and Material Superintendent:
Candidate must have done PGDCA / B.Sc. (Computer Science) / BCA / B.Tech (information
Technology), B.Tech (Computer Science) / DOEACC ‘B’ level Course of 3 years.
The course must have been done from recognized institute.
Candidates should possess Bachelors Degree in Science, with minimum of 45% marks.
In degree course, Physics and Chemistry should be among the core subjects.
The disciplines required for Degree or Diploma course if as follows:
This time, there will be two CBTs. The pattern of the examination last time was as follows:
– Mathematics
– General Intelligence and Reasoning
– General Awareness
– General Science
Minimum Percentage: A candidate needs a minimum percentage in order to qualify for CBT 2. The
details regarding the minimum percentage is given below.
UR- 40%
OBC & SC- 30%
ST- 25%
Candidate 15 times the total number of Community-wise vacancies as per the Merit appear for the second
stage of RRB JE CBT. RRB JE 2019 CBT 2 details are as follows:
Electronic Devices: Candidates can use the virtual calculator in the Stage 2 exam.
Questions – In all there will be 150 questions in the examination, from the below given topics:
General Awareness
Physics and Chemistry
Basics of Computers and Applications
Basics of Environment and Pollution Control
Technical Abilities
Number of Questions – In all there will be around 150 questions. The distribution of questions will be as
follows:
Normalization of Marks
Marks are normalized for both the CBT in order to develop a Merit Index. The normalization takes into
account the examination conducted in multi-sessions/ single sessions and the difficulty of exams. This
normalization uses the raw marks to generate a common standard for the Merit List. Based on the
normalization, a combined Merit List will be published in the descending order and the allotment will be
done as per the post preferences.
