uch as I love the cosiness of warm jumpers and fires in the hearth during
winter, nothing brings a spring to my step like longer daylight hours. Spring
is finally here, and we celebrate the new season with an issue packed with
things to do (p6-10), fashion for puddle jumping (p17) and the launch of our new Food
pages (p20), bringing you news from local restaurants and food businesses, as well as a
feature on how to cook for the family if the kitchen is not your natural domain.
If you’re dreaming of getting away, our Trips pages (p38-39) offer ideas for
weekends away or longer stays, home or abroad. Perfect for days out we have THREE
Micro Cruisers worth £130 each to giveaway - head to p9 to find out how to win these
and other prizes.

Soft pastels are über chic, easy to use, creating a sense of calm relaxation. Layer gently colourful shades like delicate tea rose, pale mint, warm grey
and soft peach and define with tones of teal, deep blue and mustard. Add pattern into the mix with an ever popular Paisley wallpaper and Liberty
inspired ditsy floral fabrics. Don’t be afraid to include dazzling colour in the room as babies respond first to colour (and then shape), but limit it
to eye-catching mobiles suspended above the cot, or pattern on storage bags and tassels on accessories. Keeping key pieces of furniture white
ensures they remain timeless but adding touches of metallics will add gorgeous glam appeal... after all, you’ll be spending a lot of time in there too!
