TH TH TH TH: Week At-a-Glance FULL-REMOTE For Week of Monday, January 4, 2021
I am happy to welcome you back to school! Yesterday we learned from our Superintendent, Dr. Siegfreid, that we will
return to in-person learning the week of January 11th. Students at the high school level will return in a blended model. I
last shared the plan on December 16th, but I have included it again below for you reference. You will find the schedule
for classes on Jaunary 6-8th as well as the blended schedule starting the week of January 11th. Essentially we will use our
8 period schedule Monday thru Friday starting next week. Mondays will be for all students, but classes will be taught in
a remote synchronous manner. Classes will be taught in person Tuesday-Friday. Your student will be on campus either
Tuesday and Thursday or Wednesday and Friday depending on their assigned cohort. The days they are not on campus
will be used to do homework and practice work. Finally, there is a color-coded calendar at the bottom of this
communication that will help you plan for the remainder of the quarter. I encourage you to print this letter and use it
for your reference.
I am happy that we are returning to in-person learning after a brief time in full remote. We selected this learning mode
as parents because it is what we thought was best for our children. The adjustments we have made to our in-person
blended model were necessary and will make learning much better. Thank you for your input.
My hope is we will be able to end the year with all 3600+ students on campus 5 days a week. It now seems possible
given the vaccinations that are available, but we still need to do our part by wearing masks on campus and when in
public places. That includes when we leave campus for lunch during the school day. We also need to gather
responsibly, wash our hands, access testing and stay home when we are ill. Slowly things are starting to feel more
normal with the return to school and athletics and activities resuming, but I think we all look forward to when we can be
back at school everyday with all Bruins present. Let’s all do our part to get there as soon as possible.
I look forward to being back on campus next week with students and staff. Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Ryan T. Silva
Principal
During the first full week of second semester, we will implement our revised hybrid schedule if the guidance permits it.

COHORT A IN-PERSON LEARNING DAY TEACHER WORK/INSERVICE DAY
COHORT B IN-PERSON LEARNING DAY NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS OR STAFF
Now we wait for an official decision, but this tentative plan will provide you with an idea of what you could expect
following break. I commend every student, teacher and parent on your hard work, flexibility, patience and more that
you have had to exercise this semester. You deserve a time to rest and relax. Have a safe and wonderful holiday break!
Sincerely,
Ryan
