ICI was Iormed on December 7, 1926, by the merger oI Iour oI the largest chemical companies
in the UK, Brunner Mond & Company Limited, Nobel Industries Limited, British DyestuIIs
Corporation Limited and United Alkali Company Limited. The ICI Group is one oI the world's

ICI Pakistan Limited is a Subsidiary oI ICI Plc, UK. It was set up as a public limited company in
Pakistan in 1952 with head oIIice at Karachi. ICI's presence in this part oI the world, however,
predates the Iormation oI the public limited company and indeed, Pakistan itselI. Today, ICI
Pakistan manuIactures and sells a range oI industrial and consumer products, including,
Polyester Staple Fibre, Soda Ash, Sodium Bicarbonate, Paints, Specialty Chemicals,
Agrochemicals, and arranges manuIacture on a toll basis oI Pharmaceutical products as well as
trading in various specialized chemicals including Polyurethanes, Acrylics and Titanium Dioxide
