Yoke:
For both sizes
Row 1: ch49, dc in 4th ch from hook (ch3 counts as first
dc) and in each of next 6ch, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch, dc in
each of next 5ch,* repeat from * 5 more times, dc in each of
next 3ch, turn; 59sts including all ch1 here and throughout

Row 2: ch3, dc in next 8 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch-1

Sleeves:
Join the yarn in the middle of the underarm

Rnd 1: ch1, and work evenly 32[34] sc around the armhole, Weave in all ends.
join with sl st in first sc; 32[34]sts Sew on the buttons near the opening. You can use strap to
check in how far they should be positioned. Attach strap to
Rnd 2: ch1, sc in next st, *ch1, skip next st, sc in next st*, buttons.
repeat from * 14 [15] more times, join with sl st in ch-1

Rnd 3: ch2, skip next sc *sc in next ch-1 space, ch1, skip next

Fasten off

Update:
There were many questions about how the back of the
cardigan should look. Only on the front the darts of the yoke
are marking the beginning of the sleeve, all other darts are
evenly positioned on the sleeves and the back.
