Increased:: Fresh Fruits (6.87%), Honey (3.18%), Fish (3.14%), Besan (2.47%), Pulse Moong (2.16%), Pulse
Gram (1.48%), Meat (1.23%), Gram Whole (1.15%), Condiments and Spices (1.06%), Beverages (0.75%), Dry
Fruits (0.60%), Pan Prepared (0.46%), Beans (0.45%), Rice (0.45%) and Pulse Mash (0.34%).
Decreased: Eggs (32.27%), Tomatoes (25.02%), Onions (7.98%), Tea (7.87%), Potatoes (5.63%) and
Cooking Oil (0.99%).
NON-FOOD:
Increased: Gas Charges (10.04%), Motor Fuel (3.53%), Furniture and Furnishing (1.78%),
Appliances/Articles/Products for Personal Care (1.06%), Household Servant (1.03%), Electricity Charges
(0.90%), Cleaning and Laundring (0.83%), Personal Grooming Services (0.80%), Solid Fuel (0.79%) and
Transport Services (0.68%).

Pulse Mash (1.09%), Sweetmeat (1.04%), Rice (0.97%), Meat (0.75%), Pulse Masoor (0.50%), Readymade

4. CPI National for the month of February, 2024 increased to 23.06% over February, 2023. The
Urban CPI recorded an increase of 24.87% while Rural CPI recorded an increase of 20.54%.

PERIOD - AVERAGE INFLATION RATE [Jul-Feb, 2023-24 over Jul-Feb, 2022-23]
6. CPI National for the period Jul-Feb (2023-24) increased to 27.96 over Jul-Feb
(2022-23). The Urban CPI recorded an increase of 27.86% while Rural CPI recorded an increase of
28.10%.
