Semantic Map
Semantic Map
To build a semantic map, the first step consists of reading and selecting the most
relevant information, for which the summarization technique is used (reading and
taking small notes) or, simply, summaries are prepared.
The types of semantic maps are varied; They are generally subdivided using a
geometric figure that is appropriate according to the number of ideas: for example,
a square or rectangle for four ideas, a hexagon for six ideas, etc. Likewise, images
and color can be added, so that the visual effect is optimized and it is possible to
add information.
MIND MAP
A mental map is an image of different elements, used as key points that provide
specific information about a particular topic or the ramification of several topics in
relation to a central point, it is also a graphic manifestation of radial thinking where
a central core Branches radiate in all directions when we associate ideas, it is
capturing all the information on a single plane. Mind maps are considered visual
notes to better transmit your thinking, synthesize learning and achieve meaningful
learning. Within mind maps you can use key words, signs, symbols, drawings,
codes, abbreviations. With mind maps you learn to organize and associate your
ideas. To better understand what a mental map is, let's imagine the map of a city.
The center of the city represents the main idea, the main avenues that lead to the
center represent the key thoughts of the mental process, the minor streets
represent the secondary thoughts, etc. Images or special shapes can represent
monuments or ideas that are especially important to make mental maps.
CONCEPTUAL MAP
The use of concept maps allows you to organize and understand ideas in a
meaningful way.
Concepts: these refer to events, objects, situations or facts and are usually
represented within circles or geometric figures called nodes.
Each concept represented in the concept map is relevant to the meaning of the
higher-ranking concept, which can sometimes be the title or central theme.
