The Destiny of The Church
The Destiny of The Church
INTRODUCTION:
For many years the word Church has been distorted, referring to a construction or building.
The fundamental idea of the New Testament about the Church is clearly presented in the Greek verb Kalein, whose
meaning is "to call."
This Greek word, "call," denotes the first act of Christ in connection with the church, those whom he called,
predestined, justified, and also glorified Rom. 8:30;
The Church is the creation and design of God; It is his means of providing the believer with spiritual nourishment and
it is through his people that the gospel is proclaimed to the world.
It is not a creation of man (be careful with that) now the unscrupulous who profit from the gospel will have their
punishment, but it is also the responsibility of the Christian to know the word of God and see if the church he is
attending does not contradict it.
Only from the day of Pentecost, since then does the church appear, being born by the Holy Spirit . Acts 2.
8. 19. 10.
Example of Paul
When Stephen was talking about the disbelief of Israel and remembering how God called Abraham and took them
out of the land that he showed him and the miracle of his Offspring and how Joseph was sold out of envy, and
likewise there is thanks before Pharaoh and how Jacob descended to Egypt and died there. And how the people of
Israel grew and multiplied in Egypt. And at that time Moses pleasing to God was born. How he was called in that
bush that was burning with fire and God saw the affliction of his people, and God brought them out having done
wonders and signs in the land of Egypt in the Red Sea and in the desert for 40 years
In this way I raise up prophets from among you to whom they will hear, your fathers did not want to obey but rejected
it and turned and made a golden calf. Likewise your fathers had the tabernacle of testimony. And as Joshua entered
into Gentile lands until the days of David
But Solomon built a house, although the most high does not dwell in a temple made with hands, as the prophet says
Heaven is my throne and earth is the state of my feet
HARD-NECKED (The metaphor derives from the practice of farmers who used oxen to work in the fields. In order to
secure the yoke correctly at the junction between head and shoulders, the farmer had to somehow persuade the
beasts to relax their necks and lower their heads.) and Uncircumcised in heart and ear, you who always resist to ES
like your parents
Hearing these things, they became angry in their hearts and gnashed their teeth, and Stephen, filled with the holy
spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God and they stoned Stephen while he called out and said, Lord
Jesus, receive my spirit.
And the witnesses laid Stephen's clothes at the feet of A Young Man Called Saul. And Saul devastated the church
and dragged away men and women and delivered them to prison.
Acts 9:3 As he was walking along the road near Damascus, SUDDENLY A BRIGHTNESS OF LIGHT FROM
HEAVEN SURROUNDED HIM.
Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me ? (belonged) Persecuting the Church is Persecuting the Lord Jesus
Christ, Harming the Church is Harming the Lord Jesus. Talking about the Church, Murmuring
MESSAGE BODY
Ephesians 1:3 Before the foundation of the world, it was predestined as a church, bodies, not as individuals
Calvinists insist that people who do not believe the gospel of Jesus Christ do so because God decided before the
foundation of the world not to allow them or enable them to do so. They insist that the human race is so depraved
that it is totally incapacitated and devoid of the power to decide for itself to want to seek God.
THE DESTINY OF THE CHURCH
2. Reign with Christ, as his royal consort, Rev. 1:6; and made us kings and priests and kings to God, his
father Eph. 3:21 I will give him who comes to sit with me on my throne. 1 Pet 2:9, but you are a chosen
race, a royal priesthood; Ap. 20: 6. blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection; They will
be priests of God and will reign with him for a thousand years.
3. Manifest in the centuries to come the praise, grace and glory of God, Eph. 1:6 for the praise of the glory of
his grace V 12 so that for the praise of his glory; Eph. 3: 10.
There are two words that illustrate these three degrees of the relationship of the church and its Lord and
these are:
a. Wife.
b. The Queen.
Self appraisal:
3. Point out the terms that illustrate the relationship of the Church and its Lord.
It cannot be said that the church is spiritual Israel, since the church obeys a new program of God in the course of
centuries or dispensations.
The Bible speaks of a spiritual Israel, but those were the saints who were waiting for the redemption of Israel to the
promised Messiah, among them were Zechariah, Elizabeth, John the Baptist, Joseph, Mary, Anna the prophetess,
Simeon among others, these were waiting for the redemption of Israel, and are considered spiritual Israel.
The Church is considered a mystery, about which the Old Testament said nothing, even Jesus himself did not speak
much about the church, that word only appears twice.
It was not a mystery that Jesus saved a Jew because the word, the acts, the law, etc. were entrusted to them.
Romans 9. Christ himself said that salvation came from the Jews and that he had come to the lost sheep of Israel.
This whole mystery was not revealed by the Lord until Israel rejected Christ as the Messiah. Matt. 16. Other
scriptures teach us God's intention for his people to first hear the good news of salvation. Matt. 1:21, Matt. 10, Matt.
15, Luc. 2:10-11; Jn. 4; Acts 2:39; Acts 10 and 11, this brought about the council of Jerusalem Cp. 15. But Israel
rejected him; Luke 19, Jn. 5:39-47, Jn. 6:60-70, Jn. 7:45-52, Jn. 8:48-59, Jn. 9:24-41, Jn. 10:22-42; Jn11: 45, Jn12:
37-50, Jn. 18:28-40; Jn. 20. Then Jesus Christ reveals the mystery of the church. Mat 16:16-18, Col 1:27, Eph. 3:1-
10, Eph. 5: 25-32.
10. Israel does not have the missionary mission, the law for them.
Church It has the mission of preaching the gospel.
11. Israel is condemned by the death of Christ.
Church is saved by the death of Christ Rom. 4: 25.
13. Israel The Holy Spirit came on some only.
Church The Holy Spirit comes to everyone and dwells in everyone.
21. Israel Will Inhabit the New Land Is. 11, Isa. 60, Isa. 62: 17
Church will inhabit the new heavens Jn. 14:3, 1 Thes. 4: 17.
22. Israel will preach the gospel of the kingdom in the tribulation.
Church will preach the gospel of grace.
