FOLDING BIKE INSTRUCTION MANUAL

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE PURCHASE OF YOUR TRINX BIKE

Your bicycle has been designed, assembled and adjusted for safe use, meeting the
most demanding GB 3565-2005 safety standards.

With proper care your TRINX unit will keep you happy for many years of use.

Because the factory has a huge number of models and configurations, this manual
presents general and specific information.

If you have any questions or queries about our products or their parts, please contact
the authorized distributor.

The initial assembly of your bicycle requires special tools and a certain degree of skill,
therefore it should be carried out by a mechanic authorized by the brand.

Periodic maintenance of your bicycle should be carried out by a professional mechanic

authorized by the brand.

Your bicycle is a vehicle therefore you should not ignore traffic and safety regulations to
avoid accidents.
This manual contains useful information that will help you properly use your bicycle for
greater enjoyment and less risk.
1 SECURITY

1.1 ATTENTION: Please remember that cycling can be a dangerous activity.

1.2 Before using your bicycle remember to check your unit according to section 4
1.3 When you use your bicycle, use individual protective elements: Helmet to protect
your head from blows Goggles to protect your eyes from dust and insects Gloves
to protect your hands from falls or scrapes
1.4 Before entering a street with traffic, we recommend studying local rules. Many
countries around the world have their own rules for bicycle traffic. Here are some
crucial rules:
1.4.1 Use appropriate hand signals
1.4.2 Ride on the bicycle lane (never ride against traffic)
1.4.3 If you are part of a team of cyclists, ride one after the other
1.4.4 Protect yourself (try to prevent risks) Remember that you are not always
visible. As cycling becomes more popular, more bicycle drivers are unaware of
the rules of driving.
1.5 Be very careful when traveling on a dangerous surface (Be especially careful
when traveling on gravel roads)
1.5.1 Make sure you are authorized to travel on that terrain (Not all terrains are
authorized for cyclists)
1.5.2 Make sure you have all the necessary equipment (Helmet, Goggles and
Gloves)
1.5.3 Unevenness, potholes and stones make a road dangerous
1.5.4 When going downhill, reduce speed by leaning your body backwards
and lowering your center of gravity. It is advisable to only use the rear brake.
1.5.5 Consider other risks, try to warn that you are on the way
1.6 Use the brakes carefully. Always keep a safe distance from other vehicles or
objects when braking. Braking distance is related to the type of terrain and weather
conditions. Use both brakes at the same time and avoid overusing the front brake.
1.7 Protect Yourself. Always be aware of potential risks. Always remember that you
are less visible to other cyclists or pedestrians
than a car. Always be prepared to stop suddenly.
1.8 Observe the path. Although road and trail conditions are improving, you should
always be prepared and attentive. You may encounter stones, potholes, steps, etc. on
the road. Cross the street carefully at a 90-degree angle; if you don't feel confident, get
off your bike and cross the street on foot.
1.9 Look for vehicles parked on the side of the road as you pass them. You may find
yourself in trouble if a parked car moves suddenly or if a door is opened.
1.10 Be especially careful when riding your bicycle at night. Your bike is equipped with
reflectors that shine with light in the dark, make sure they are adjusted and clean them
periodically to keep them in shape. Remember that despite having reflectors that
identify you and shine, you are not visible and may be in danger unless you are
illuminated by lights directly on these reflectors. We also recommend purchasing
luminous identification equipment for your bicycle and wearing reflective and brightly
colored clothing. The goal is for you to be seen in a simple way.
1.11 Be very careful in wet or rainy weather. Any type of brake, no matter the design,
does not work the same way in wet weather or wet roads, for this reason you must
remain alert to safe condition regulations. When driving in wet conditions or on watery
roads, it is necessary to apply greater pressure on the brakes and a longer braking
distance, which will require more time to stop. In addition to this, rainy days do not allow
good visibility for you and motorists. Slow down when turning on wet roads.
1.12 If you use additional technical equipment for your bicycle (child seat, additional
seats, lights, etc.) we recommend reading local traffic regulations for its correct use.
1.13 TRINX does not recommend the use of many luggage racks sold on the market,
so we advise you to consult with the specialized store where you purchased your unit
or send your query to our website www.trinx.com.ar
1.14 Never leave your bike unattended to prevent theft.

3.3 Handle
You can easily define the inclination and angle of the handlebars. Make sure
that the inclination of the handlebar is centered horizontally on the stem, in case
it feels more comfortable you can adjust it to your liking.
To adjust the handlebar, you must loosen the allen screws located at the top
and modify the angle or inclination of the handlebar to your liking. Once the
position is achieved, you must adjust the screws progressively with a maximum
torque of 5-8 N/m.
3.4 Seat
Place the seat at the approximate height, close the easy-open device with a 5-8
N/m torque, adjust the height to suit you. To check if the seat height is correct,
secure the bicycle against a wall or With the help of someone else, get on your
bicycle, put your feet on the pedals, make one pedal down and the other up, the
leg that is resting on the pedal that was down should be almost completely
stretched, that is the height we recommend for use.
To adjust the inclination of the seat you must do it with the screws below, if you
have two screws the adjustment must be made by fixing one with a wrench and
adjusting the other, this adjustment requires a torque of 12-15 N/m.
3.5 Pedals
Before placing the pedals, be sure to put a thick layer of grease on the threads
of each pedal, this will prevent noise, breakage and allow better pedal rolling.
When the pedals are assembled, adjust their axles inside the cranks with a
20/30 N/m torque wrench (photos 8,9)

3.6.2 Place the chain on the smaller front chainring and the larger rear
sprocket
3.6.3 Using the stop screw L, adjust the innermost position of the derailleur so
that the chain is 1-2mm away from the inner side of the plate (photo 12)
3.6.4 Place the left shift lever in the smallest position on the chain wheel and
increase the tension of the derailleur cable so that it does not lengthen. (photo
13). Pay attention to check whether the front derailleur cable is properly routed.
3.6.5 Push the rear gears forward to release the chain and place it on the
largest front chainring and the smallest rear sprocket. (photo 15)
3.6.6 Using the shift lever stop screw, operate the front derailleur correctly
(photo 14)
3.6.7 Using the stop screw H, adjust the front derailleur to the outermost
position so that the guide lever cannot move backwards, at the same time the
chain should easily enter the largest chainring.

5.3 SEAT ADJUSTMENT

Follow the recommendations listed in point 3.4. A comfortable use of your unit will depend on a
correct choice of the size of your unit and the adjustment of the seat.
5.4 EQUIPMENT FOR CYCLISTS
We strongly recommend the use of HELMET, select the type of helmet that fits you most
comfortably, let a specialized seller advise you on the type of helmet that best suits you. The
use of gloves is also recommended for a better grip on the handlebars. The use of appropriate
clothing is advisable for a better experience using your bicycle, as baggy pants can be
dangerous as they can be caught by the chain.
5.5 LUGGAGE CARRIER:
We do not recommend the use of luggage racks or baby seats in general, we only recommend
the use of a grill with saddlebags that are authorized and certified for sale in the local market.
WE LEAVE THE USE OF NON-CERTIFIED PRODUCTS TO THE DISCRETION OF THE
CUSTOMER UNDER THEIR RESPONSIBILITY
5.6 MAXIMUM MASS BETWEEN THE CYCLIST AND THE LUGGAGE
We recommend not loading more than 110 Kg without luggage and 120 Kg added (driver +
luggage)
5.7 GEARSHIFT
While using your bicycle, use the gear that is most comfortable for you according to the
surface and the inclination.
Follow the instructions that do NOT recommend using the smallest sprocket with the smallest
chainring or the largest sprocket with the largest chainring.
When changing both the front chainrings and the rear sprockets, we recommend applying less
pressure to the pedals so that the chain passes as smoothly as possible, this prolongs the life
of all the components.
In all cases, when applying a change, the chain must move (SMOOTH) so that the change can
be made. If the chain remains static, the change will not be made.
5.8 CHAIN
The chain must be kept clean. It is recommended to use special oil or grease for this purpose
once a week. Use the appropriate tool (photo 38) to remove the chain for replacement in case
it needs to be changed due to breakage.
WE RECOMMEND CONSULTING A MECHANIC
AUTHORIZED BY THE BRAND.
5.9 SAVED
When you are not using your bicycle, store it in an appropriate place with low humidity,
protected from rain and sun.
