1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to establish the ethical standards and code of conduct expected of all
employees, contractors, volunteers, and board members of Enfeld Royal Medical Center. This policy
aims to promote ethical behavior, integrity, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

2. Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, volunteers, and board members of Enfeld Royal
Medical Center.

3. Definitions
• Ethics: Moral principles that govern a person's behavior or the conducting of an activity.
• Code of Conduct: A set of rules outlining the social norms, rules, and responsibilities of, and
or proper practices for, an individual, party, or organization.

4. Principles of Ethical Conduct


4.1 Respect for Persons

• Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with legal requirements.

4.2 Integrity and Honesty

• Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and transparency in all professional activities.

4.3 Professionalism

• Maintain professional competence and continue professional development.

5. Standards of Conduct
