36. CASE STUDY BASED QUESTION-I
PLAYING WITH COINS
There is a game of tossing of three coins. The entry fee in the game is Rs 200. Shikha
takes entry into game by paying the entry fee. The rules of the game are: if by tossing
three coins, it shows one or two heads, then she gets back her entry fee. If it shows

three heads, she receives double the amount paid as entry fee. Otherwise, she loses the
entry fee.
Based on the above information answer the following questions.
i. Find the total number of possible outcomes in the above game. [1]

also find its probability. [2]

Find all the possible outcome(s) in which Sikha has the chance to get back her entry
