Verbotonal Method

The verbotonal method was created in the 1950s and 1960s to help students with French pronunciation problems and people with hearing damage due to war. It is based on auditory, tactile and bodily perception of sounds, rhythm and intonation to improve the emission and perception of speech. The method uses tonal diagnostics and special amplifiers to work individually with each person.

Tonal audiometry is performed to define the levels of detectability, audibility, intelligibility

It seeks Definition: the perception and emission of speech sounds with their rhythm and
intonation through auditory perception, tactile vibrations and body
movements in the formation of phonemes, words and language
structures.
It is based on the development model of
people with normal hearing and emphasizes the
importance of rhythm, intonation and vocal
quality in people with hearing impairments.
