Lesson Plan Third Grade
➢ Main aim of the lesson: At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify the
colors by going in front and write the color of the ice lolly stick on the board.
LEAD- IN:
Procedure: The teacher is going to play a song for students to dance with her.
Task/ Activity: students have to dance with the teacher.
Materials: Speaker, cell-phone.
Time: 3 Minutes.
Evaluation: Students actively participating in the activity.
LANGUAGE INPUT:
Procedure: The teacher asks students about the colors they know in English. Then, the teacher shows
some different ice lollies of different colors, finally the teacher introduces the topic.
Task/ Activity: students have to asks the question made by the teacher.
Materials: Board, markers, didactic material in shape of ice lollies.
Time: 5 Minutes.
Evaluation: Students answering the question and paying attention.
LEARNING INPUT:
Procedure: the teacher explains the topic, shows the material to students and teaches them the correct
pronunciation of each color. The teacher asks students to repeat the pronunciation, then the teacher
chooses some students to go in front and take a piece of paper with name of colors written in it and
identify the colors they see on the board.
Task/ Activity: Students have to repeat the pronunciation of the colors, students listen carefully what the
teacher says, students chosen by the teacher have to go in front and participate in the tasks the teacher says
the other students have to help their classmate if needed.
Materials: Ice lollies (didactic material), board, marker, erase, pieces of paper.
Time: 20 minutes.
Evaluation: students participating in class.
USE/ AUTHENTIC OUTPUT
Procedure: The teacher sticks the ice lollies on the board. Then, provides the instruction to students about
the activity they have to do.
Task/ Activity: students have to go in front and identify the color of the ice lolly stick on the board.
Materials: Ice lollies, board, markers.
Time: 10 minutes.
Evaluation: students going in front.
The teacher provides a short summary about the topic of the class and the makes sure that students
understand the topic. 2 minutes.

Procedure: before starting the new activity, the teacher reminds students about the topic they talked on
Monday.
Task/ Activity: Students have to listen carefully and participate by answering each question made by the
teacher.
Time: 3 Minutes.

Procedure: The teacher explains shows to students new vocabulary and explains them how to talk about
their favorite color, (for example: My favorite color is blue because is the color of the sky). The teacher
also asks questions such as: can you mentioned something of color red?
Task/ Activity: students have to listen carefully and answer each question made by the teacher.
