Electronics is an area that is constantly evolving and changing; in every circumstance of daily life you can find a
piece of equipment or device that has electronic components, from a cell phone with millions of miniaturized
components to individual and mass means of transportation. that have integrated electronic systems vital for
their correct functioning. Industrial production processes are not far behind, for their processes they have
integrated electronic equipment that manages to improve the efficiency of the process and/or the safety of the
operator. The management of electrical energy (generation, regulation and transmission), previously exclusive to
the area of electricity, has been invaded by electronic equipment and components that seek to achieve efficiency
and control of generation and supply networks in industrial and residential facilities. Electronics contributes to the
improvement of living conditions and the care of the environment by manufacturing a wide variety of products
that make human life easier.
Electronics training programs represent a great opportunity for human capital that wishes to interact with this
great universe, providing knowledge in the area, analog and digital electronic circuits, programming, printed
circuit design, maintenance, installation and integration of industrial electronic systems .
1.8 Justification Currently in Colombia, the demand for trained personnel in the field of electronics has increased dramatically,
particularly in the field of industry, since the productive sector requires technical support to be able to keep its
machinery operating, the operation of which is at the mercy of electronic systems.
The general offer of programs as of 11-9-2016 according to the national higher education information system,
accounts for 387 Training Programs related to electronics and 67 programs related to mechatronics, within which
none is directed towards the development of electronic systems as a solution to industry needs.
Given that one of the purposes of the SENA training processes is to guarantee the continuity of the learning
processes in the country's productive processes, it is important to include the study, development and
implementation of industrial electronic devices in the range of job training.
In the first half of 2016 in Colombia, according to statistics from the SENA Labor and Occupational Observatory,
the 10 dynamic occupations most requested by companies and more
registered by people seeking employment are (SENA Labor and Occupational Observatory): 1.Systems

Electronics and communications technicians are among the 10 most requested occupations by employers and
registered among the most prominent occupational interests (SENA Labor and Occupational Observatory), which
shows the relevance of the training program.
On the other hand, according to data recovered from the labor dynamics bulletin issued by the Public
Employment Service, for the first quarter of 2016 the occupation as an electronics and telecommunications
technician had a growth of 15% in Bogotá and 39% in Santander, while in the Valley there was a decrease that
was exceeded in the second quarter.
With regard to economic remuneration, apprentices who graduate from technological training programs in areas
of Industrial Electronics are employed with a salary among the highest.
