Christmas riddles for all ages

Logic puzzle 1: Santa Claus and the three doors

Santa Claus has to enter a house where there is no chimney, so

he uses the front door to enter. In front of him is a long hallway
with three doors. You cannot leave gifts in the hallways, so you
will have to choose one of them to leave them in a room.
However, when he gets closer he sees that there are signs on
each of the doors: on the first there is a sign that says; "There is
a devastating fire here"; On the second door there is a sign that
says: "Be careful, there are murderers inside with dangerous
weapons"; and in the third it says "Lions that have not eaten in
a year."

Santa Claus thought for a few seconds and came up with the
solution, he entered the correct door, left the gifts and came out
completely unscathed to continue distributing gifts. As it did?

Christmas Riddle 2: Santa's Socks

Santa Claus has to get dressed to go out to deliver gifts but the
room is dark. You have twelve white socks and twelve red
socks in a drawer, and without looking, how many socks should
you grab from the drawer to make sure you have a pair that
matches?

Christmas Riddle 3: What day is today?

Santa Claus has posed a challenge this year to the elves who
help him prepare the gifts:

Dear ones, whoever solves this challenge will be able to

accompany me on my sleigh to distribute the gifts: What day of
the week is today (Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday) if
one of the statements is false?

 Today is neither Sunday nor Wednesday.

 Tomorrow is not Sunday, nor Wednesday.
 Yesterday was not Friday.
 Monday was not the day before yesterday, nor was
Sunday.

On their way to Bethlehem, the Three Wise Men have to cross a

bridge. When they are halfway through, a huge giant appears.
He gives them a terrible look and says:

- Where do you think you are going? said the giant.

- We are going to Bethlehem, to give some presents to the Baby

Jesus who has already been born, Melchior responded.

- You cannot pass, replied the ogre, this is my bridge.

- Can we do something so that you let us pass? Gaspar added.

- Tell me a sentence, if it is false, I will throw you off the bridge

and you will die in the fall. If it's true, I'll finish you off right
here.

Baltasar remained thoughtful and immediately knew what to

say. He said the phrase and the giant had no choice but to let
them cross the bridge and continue on their way. What did
Baltasar say?

Riddle 6. The shepherd who travels to Bethlehem

A shepherd leaves his cabin at dawn to Bethlehem to meet the

Baby Jesus, arriving after a journey of several hours. He stays
to rest and sleep, and leaves Bethlehem in the morning at the
same time to return to his cabin.

Perhaps it did not take him the same time to go as he did to

return, and it makes no difference whether his speed was not
constant or when and how many times he stopped to rest, but
the shepherd passed some point along the way at exactly the
same time, but a day apart. Because?

Christmas Riddle 7: Santa's Successor

Santa Claus was tired after several centuries of delivering gifts

on Christmas night. He wanted to retire and pass his magic on
to someone else. Since he had no children, he set up a test to
find the new Santa Claus, the one who could do almost
anything.

The test was quite simple. He placed a gift inside his enormous
red sack and he arranged it on a tapestry 6 meters wide by 6
meters long that rested on the floor.

Santa Claus's successor should be able to grab the gift with his
hand, without using any tools other than his hands and without
hanging from above. One last rule: I couldn't step on the
tapestry.

Days passed and no one got the gift stuffed in a sack on a huge
tapestry. When Santa Claus thought that no one would make it,
a man very similar to him came in and got the gift. As it did?

Christmas Riddle: Murder on the Polar Express

Inside, Alberto seems to be sleeping in his seat, but someone
knows that he is not sleeping. Upon arriving at the station,
everyone gets off except Alberto.

The driver approaches and touches him on the shoulder to wake

him up. Alberto does not respond. Is dead.

A while later, the 4 people who were traveling with Alberto in

his car had their statements taken at the police station.

A well-dressed man says: I am innocent. The blonde woman was

talking to Alberto.

The blonde woman says: I am innocent. I never spoke with

Alberto.
A poorly dressed man says: I am innocent. The murderer is the
dark woman.

The dark woman says: I am innocent. One of the men is the

murderer.

The police officer went to the cafeteria to eat something and

the waiter told him:

- A difficult case, Mr. Inspector?

- Not at all. I have 4 true statements and four false ones. I know
who killed Alberto.

Solutions to Christmas riddles

Solution to riddle 1: Santa Claus and the three doors

Santa Claus entered the third room, if those lions hadn't eaten
in a year, then they were dead.

Solution to riddle 2: Santa's socks

Stockings do not have a left or right side, so any white sock can
go with another white one and any red sock can go with any red
one. If Santa takes three socks and they are black or white, he
will at least have two of the same color, giving him a matching
pair.

Solution to riddle 3: What day is it today?

Today it is Sunday.

Solution to riddle 4: The bear

The color of the bear is white, it is a polar bear. Because? The

only places where the condition of returning to the starting
point is met are: the North Pole and any point located 10 km
north of the
parallels measuring 10 km in circumference. In this way, when
the bear walks 10 km east it will return to the starting point. In
any of these cases it will be at one of the Poles, so the bear will
be white.
Solution to riddle 5: the three Wise Men and the bridge

Gaspar said, "You're going to throw us off the bridge."

If the phrase were true, then it would have to put an end to the
Three Wise Men. But if he finished them off right there, then he
couldn't throw them off the bridge, and the sentence would
become false.

With this phrase, Baltasar managed to stop the giant from

carrying out either of the two actions because he entered into
his own contradiction.

Solution to riddle 6: the shepherd who travels to Bethlehem

These are two shepherds who leave at the same time from
opposite points: if they follow the same path, at some point they
will have to cross paths. It seems obvious now, right?

Solution to riddle 7: Santa Claus's successor

Santa Claus watched in amazement as the would-be Santa

Claus began to carefully roll up the tapestry, little by little, the
distance shortening, until finally, he simply reached out and
took the gift inside the sack with his hand. Santa Claus already
had a successor.

Solution to Christmas Riddle 8: Murder on the Polar Express

According to the police, three statements of innocence are true.

There remains a fourth that must also be true and that must be
between whether the blonde woman spoke or did not speak
with Alberto, only one of the two is true.

At this point, the other statements that the dark woman killed
him and that some man killed him must be false. If it wasn't a
man and it wasn't the brunette, then Alberto's killer on the Polar
Express was the blonde woman.

Solutions to logic puzzles

Did you find these logic puzzles easy or difficult? Let's see how
many mysteries you have managed to solve and what level your
deductive ability is at. Here are the solutions to the puzzles:

The mystery of the night watchman: Alex worked at night, every

night of the week, but instead of watching the factory premises,
he had fallen asleep. Although sleep saved his life, the boss
considered him not a good worker for falling asleep on his shift.

The mysterious one-way tunnel: Did the logic puzzle mention

that the two trains passed on the same day at the same time?
Therein lies the catch, each train passed at different times or on
different days and, therefore, they did not collide.

The mystery of the portrait: Jack is the father of the man who
appears in the photograph, therefore, the portrait is of his son.

The tennis match: These two people played the match as a

couple, which was a doubles match, therefore, both have
achieved 3 sets.

The car without headlights: logic puzzles always try to trick our
mind. It is possible that you thought it was night when you gave
certain clues such as no lights, broken streetlights, and the man
dressed in black. But at no point is this mentioned. It was
daytime and, therefore, the driver was able to avoid the
pedestrian without problem.

The cat that had 7 lives: although it is mentioned that the

building has 20 floors, who said that the cat was on the 20th
floor? Or the 17th? The cat was in the first floor window and
when it fell, absolutely nothing happened to it.

The enigma of Adam and Eve: this couple that appears in the
Old Testament is different from all other human beings, they
were not born from anyone's womb, therefore, there is an
element that they do not possess, the navel. This is how the
man recognized them.

The right hand: With your left hand you could never touch the
left elbow, have you tried it yet?

Find the word: Sea, it is a girl's name if you write its initial in
capital letters, but it means a body of water that covers the
earth, if you write it in lower case.
