Subject: Regarding Faculty Recruitment at SMVDU in response to Faculty recruitment


notification no: SMVDU/Adm/Estt.~FA/Rect.Adv/1 of 2023/1252, dated:
14/09/2023, published in M/s. Daily Excelsior, M/s. Times of India [Ascent], M/s.
Employment News and uploaded on the University Website, and subsequent
'Extension Notices' issued vide no: SMVDU/Adm/Estt.-FA/Rect.Adv/1 of
2023/1507, dated: 03/10/2023& SMVDU/Adm/Estt.-FA/Rect.Adv/1 of 2023/1721
dated:27/10/2023

1. This is for the information of all candidates who have applied for the position of
Assistant Professor at the university in response to the faculty recruitment
notification mentioned as above.

2. Owing to overwhelming response received for the various faculty positions, all
the applicants are hereby informed that the University is constrained to withdraw
the Clause no. 5 (dealing with exemption from appearing in written screening
test) & Clause no. 29 (dealing with reimbursement of train fare for all positions)
of General Terms and Conditions of the faculty recruitment notice. This
information has already been published in Daily Excelsior and Times of India
(Ascent) vide no. SMVDU/Adm/Estt.-FA/Rect.Adv/1 of 2024/2554 dated: 23-01-
2024.

3. Accordingly, all the candidates who have been declared as provisionally eligible
for the position of Assistant Professor in various disciplines, shall be required to
appear in the Screening Test. The recruitment shall be as per notification issued

vide ref no SMVDU/Adm/2024/Estt-FA/1070 dated 4 June 2024.

4. The Screening Test shall be conducted on 8 July 2024 at the campus of Shri
Mata Vaishno Devi University, Kakryal, Katra 182320 (J&K) as per the following
schedule:

Shift 1 (10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) Shift 2 (2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.)

5. Information Regarding the Screening Test


a. Mode of the Screening Test
Written Test of 100 Marks with 100 Multiple Choice Questions {1 Mark each) of
duration 120 minutes with negative marking(¼ Mark)

6. The final application status of the candidates as eligible/not-e ligible is updated
on their SAMARTH dashboard. All candidates are required to check the final
application status.

7. All provisionalfy eligible candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in


various disciplines mentioned in the schedule above are adv,ised to make their
travel arrangements in time.

8. DetaHed modalities for conduct of the Screening Test shall be notified separately
in near future. All candidates are advised to keep a close check on the University
Website for further information.
