Using the Summary Table of Robert J. Havighurst on Developmental Tasks, assess your own level of
development as a Grade 12 student.
As a student in grade 12, the expected tasks that I have successfully accomplished are that I've
grown independent enough to be able to manage my obligations and make decisions about my future
without a lot of help from others. I feel more capable now that I have the freedom to confidently
pursue possibilities, overcome obstacles, and handle my own responsibilities. I now have a strong
sense of who I am and am aware of my objectives and values, especially in the areas of my strengths
and weaknesses, in order to improve them. I've grown into an adult in my relationships with my
peers, friends, and other adults, showing respect, empathy, and skillful communication. These
accomplishments have improved both my academic and personal experiences.

1. As you are in Grade 12, you are in transition from high school to college, from being an
-Im excited about the new pathway that I'll be taking, with the new opportunities that my
