ABOUT US
The Men’s Christian Association - M. C. A St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church Aguda is the umbrella
organization of all the men in the church from 18 years and above, upon payment of normal
registration fee.

MISSION STATEMENT
TO BRING MEN TO KNOW CHRIST AND GROW TO THE MEASURE OF THE STATURE OF CHRIST.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
To foster unity within and outside the Association.
To organize religious programmes and prayers in order to strengthen and deepen the
devotional lives of members.
To participate fully and actively in all meaningful and spiritual church activities.
To render help to the church and other church organizations where necessary.
To do such things as or that are conducive to the progress and well being of the Association
and her members.

LEADERSHIP
The association is currently led by Evang. CHUKS ABRAHAM as the president. He is ably assisted by
Brother JEPHTER ONYEULO as the Vice President. Other officers of the current executive are; Bro.

ACTIVITIES
(A) BREAKFAST FELLOWSHIP: our regular monthly programme which holds at the Youth centre of
the Church, on the 1st Saturday of every month from 8.00am to 10.00am, featuring Bible studies,
Retreats, Business Seminars, Health Talks, Fitness Walk exercise at different months. It also serves as
our general meeting, where major decisions of the association are reached.
(b) ANOINTING FOR ALL MALE: an annual programme that holds inside the main auditorium in the
month of March, every year, normally during the Lenten period. The vision is centred on restoration
of the glory of man through prayers thereby rebuilding the destiny and future of all male, knowing
that they are the life wire of every family and homes. There is also physical anointing for all the
participants
(B) FATHERS’ DAY: our main annual anniversary event, which is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday in the
month of June every year, it is marked with Fitness Walk exercise, Football Match and a three day
Revival with a special thanksgiving service on the Sunday, where the fathers conduct most part of
the service and our Choir renders special hymns and songs composed for the occasion.
(C) PROJECTS EXECUTION. The association has been a strong pillar of support to the Church in
executing some of her development projects. Some of the projects already executed by the MCA
are:
Purchase of 27KVA Perkins sound proof Generator – 2003;
Roofing of Vicarage – 2004;
Altar Renovation – 2005;
Purchase of Projector/kick starting the Expansion of the Church Auditorium – 2006;
Air-Conditioning of the Church Auditorium – 2007;
Purchase of 2N0 42’ LCD for use at the new property (unity centre) – 2008;
Purchase of Digital Camera for the Church/Tiling of the floor of the gallery – 2009;
Purchase of digital Electric Pipe organ for the church – 2010;
Beautification of the gallery with stainless railing – 2011;
ICT Project/Renovation of Sir Eddy Mmouemenam House – 2012;
Church Roofing – 2013;
Installation of modern Church pews – 2014;
Purchase and installation of 19N0 of 5HP air conditioners at the unity centre – 2015;
Installation of New Imaging system with 3N0 42’ Television monitors – 2016;
Choir pews – 2017;
Kick starting Jesus Project Roofing – 2018
Purchase of 150KVA Generator for Jesus project.—2019
Installation of Sola Street lights in and around the Church environs. -- 2021
Kick starting of Jesus Project landscaping – 2022
Installation of some air conditioners at the first floor of Jesus project. -_ 2023
. Other projects by the M.C.A for the Church include; Painting of the Church, Borehole at St.
Barth’s School, Painting of the Altar and Renovation of Priests guest House.
(D) MEMBERS WELFARE. Assisting our needy and bereaved members as well as honoring members
who are celebrating befitting events with our various welfare packages.
(E) INVESTMENTS. The association has ventured into diverse investment and real estate for the
benefit of our members, through the incorporation of M.C.A. ST. BARTH’S CHURCH (LAGOS ISLAND)
COOPERATIVE MULTPURPOSE SOCIETY LTD, which currently have established the following
investment portfolios;
1. CHRISTIAN HERITAGE ESTATE: A 155.5 acres of land acquired at Ogun State that is almost fully
subscribed and is being developed into an estate for the benefit of our members and interested
members of the public
2. MCA ST. BARTH’S MULTI PURPOSE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY STORES: The cooperative society
stores, has been procuring commodities that are sold to our members and other members of the
Church, at affordable prices.

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE: All male members of the church, who are not yet registered, are enjoined to
join us in our monthly Breakfast Fellowship, held on the first Saturday of every month, by 8. 00am at
the Youth Centre and register officially, so as to enjoy the benefits of the association
