SCHEDULE – B (PART I)

(See Clause 2.1)

DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT HIGHWAY

1. DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT HIGHWAY


Development of the Project Highway shall include construction of the Project Highway
as described in this Schedule-B and in Schedule-C.

2. FOUR-LANING

2.1 Four-Laning shall include construction of the Four-Lane Project highway as described in
Annex-I of this Schedule-B and Annex-I of Schedule-C.

2.2 Four Laning shall be undertaken and completed by the Concessionaire in conformity
with the Specifications and Standards set forth in Annex-I of Schedule-D.

Annex – I
(Schedule – B)

Description of Four – Lanning

1 Features of Four Laning

1.1 Width of Carriageway

1.1.1 The paved carriageway width shall be as per chainage-wise typical cross section
schedule provided in Appendix B-1 of Schedule-B.

1.1.2 Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, the width of the paved carriageway
shall conform to clause 1.1.1 above.

1.2 Cross Section:

The Project Highway shall be widened to four lane configurations with paved shoulder
with or without Service Roads. Different types of cross section required to be
developed in different segments of the project highway are indicated in Appendix B-I.

1.3 Alignment Plan & Longitudinal Section

Plan & Profile of project highway shall be designed as per schedule-D. The alignment
plan, longitudinal section and all drawings containing GAD of structures, signage etc.
shall be as per Appendix B-II.

1.4 Bypasses & Realignments

Bypasses and Realignments shall be provided as indicated in Appendix B-III.

1.5 Medians:

Medians shall be provided as indicated in Appendix-B-IV.

1.6 Slip Road

Slip Roads shall be provided in lengths indicated in Appendix B-V.

1.7 Construction Scheme of Project stretches

Scheme of construction of project stretches shall be as indicated in Appendix-B-VI

1.8 Proposed Right of Way

The details of the Proposed ROW are given in Appendix B-VII

1.9 At Grade Intersection

At grade intersections shall be provided at the intersection of slip roads and all
intersecting roads at locations as specified in Appendix B-VIII for major intersections
and in Appendix B-IX for minor intersections.

1.10 Vehicular Underpass

The Vehicular Underpass shall be as provided as given at Appendix B-X. All structures
shall be designed for all the relevant load classes of IRC:6-2017 including SV loading.

1.11 Pedestrian /Cattle Underpass

Pedestrian /cattle underpass shall be provided as given in Appendix B-XI

1.12 Major Bridges and Minor Bridge

Major bridges and Minor Bridges shall be provided, widened, reconstructed or extended
as given in Appendix B-XII. The formation level mentioned in Plan & Profile is minimum
and shall be designed as per the actual hydrological calculations. The Bridges shall be
designed for all load classes of IRC:6-2017 including SV loading.

1.13 Culverts

Culverts shall be provided, widened, reconstructed, or extended as listed in Appendix


B-XIII

1.14 Entry /Exit ramps

Entry/Exit ramps for entering into or exiting from the project highway shall be provided
as per IRC-SP:84:2014

1.15 Slope protection

The side slopes along the Project highway shall be protected by using suitable slope
protection measures as per IRC-SP:84:2014

1.16 Utility Corridor

Utility corridor at the end of ROW shall be provided on both side along the project
highway as per typical cross section schedule given in Appendix B-I.

1.17 Rainwater Harvesting

As per Ministry of Environment and Forests Notification, New Delhi dated 14.01.1997 (as
amended on 13.01.1998, 05.01.1999 & 6.11.2000), the construction of Rain water
harvesting structure is mandatory in and around Water Crisis area, notified by the
Central Ground Water Board. The rain water harvesting structures shall be provided at
a spacing of 500m staggered on either side as per IRC SP:42:2014 and IRC SP:50:1999.

1.19 Pavement Design

Flexible Pavement shall be provided in entire project length, including Bus bays, truck
lay bye, junctions, Slip Road and Way side amenities as per IRC 37:2018 except at toll
plaza where rigid pavement shall be designed as per IRC 58:2015.

Flexible Pavement shall be designed for a minimum design period of 20 years or


operation period, whichever is more. The thickness of sub base and base pavement
section is designed for a minimum design period 20 year of the operation period,
whichever is more and stage construction shall not be allowed.

The pavement shall be strengthened by bituminous overlay as and when required to


extend the pavement life to full operation period. The thicknesses of bituminous
overlay shall be determined on the basis of respective IRC codes.

Rigid Pavement shall be designed for a minimum design period of 30 years. Stage
construction shall not be permitted.

1.20 Design Traffic

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Agreement or the IRC


SP:84:2014, the Concessionaire shall design the pavement for minimum design traffic
of 75 MSA. In case the MSA is more than specified above at the time of traffic survey
done by Concessionaire at the time of design of project highway, then the higher
traffic will be adopted for design.

Slip Road thickness: The slip road Pavement shall be designed for minimum design
traffic of 10 MSA.

Rigid Pavement thicknesses for toll Plaza shall not be less than that given below:

Toll Plaza: -The thickness of Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) shall not be less than
300 mm, rest over DLC of minimum 150 mm thickness. Below DLC layer, a properly
designed GSB of minimum 150 mm thickness shall be provided at toll plaza.

1.21 Bed Protection for Bridges

Bed protection shall be provided for Major & Minor Bridges up to 15m as per relevant
codal provisions.

1.22 Road side drainage


Drainage system including surface and subsurface drains for the Project Highway shall
be provided as indicated in below table

1.23 COMPULSORY AFFORESTATION

The number of Trees which are required to be planted by the Concessionaire as


compensatory afforestation should be as per Forest Conservation Act, three times (3)
the number of trees to be cut. The tree cutting permission shall be obtained by the
Concessionaire.

1.24 CHANGE OF SCOPE

The length of Structures and bridges specified hereinabove shall be treated as an


approximate assessment. The proposed span arrangement of above structures may be
changed based on innovative design of structure, latest construction techniques and
aesthetics of structures and the actual lengths as required on the basis of detailed
investigations shall be determined by the Concessionaire in accordance with the
Specifications and Standards. Any variation in the lengths specified in this Schedule-B
shall not constitute a Change of Scope, save and except any variations in the length
arising out of a Change of Scope expressly undertaken in accordance with the
provisions of Article 16.

1.25 Retaining / RE Wall/Toe Wall:

RE Wall shall be provided as shown in TCS drawing. Retaining/ Toe wall shall also be
provided to accommodate TCS configuration within ROW or at the locations where ROW
is insufficient and other locations of high embankments as per site requirements. RE
panel should be cast with NHAI logo. The minimum lengths of Retaining wall/Toe
wall/RE wall shall be as shown in Appendix B-XIV.

Note- Above length of RE Wall/ Retaining wall/ Toe wall is tentative and minimum
specified. The actual length of the same shall be determined by the Concessionaire in
accordance with IRC: SP: 84:2014 requirements with approval from the Authority’s
Engineer. Any variation in the length specified in this clause of Schedule-B shall not
constitute a change of scope.

(i) The above length of Slip road and Service Road is not including the tapering
length/merging length of acceleration/deceleration lane. The entry and exit of Slip road

bridges specified shall be treated as an approximate assessment. The proposed span
arrangement of above structures may be changed based on innovative design of structure,
latest construction techniques and aesthetics of structures and the actual lengths as required
on the basis of detailed investigations shall be determined by the Concessionaire in
