I. Objectives

III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
Opening Prayer
The teacher will instruct the students to stand and call someone to lead the prayer.
(Before the teacher will allow the students to set down, everyone is instructed to
pick up some pieces of trashes and align/arrange the chairs properly.)
Greetings
The teacher will greet everybody with happy disposure and the students will do
the same.
Checking of Attendance
The teacher will ask the secretary in the classroom who is absent in the class.
Class Rules
The teacher will instruct the students to get their English assignment notebook.
Students for each two rows will have to clockwise for checking. Right after,
counter clockwise to return it to the owner.
Developmental Activities
1. Review
The teacher will call someone to tell what is the previous lesson all about. Then
the teacher will call the attention of the reluctant students and encourage them to
stand, speak and give some points of view from the previous topic.
Motivation:
The teacher will show different pictures, while showing the pictures he or she
will ask several pupils to say something or describe the pictures.
What is preposition?
1. Prepositions of Direction
To refer to a direction, use the prepositions "to," "in," "into," "on," and "onto."
Examples:
2. Prepositions of Time
To refer to one point in time, use the prepositions "in," "at," and "on."
Use "in" with parts of the day (not specific times), months, years, and seasons.
Examples:
1. He reads in the evening.
2. The weather is cold in December.
Use "at" with the time of day. Also use "at" with noon, night, and midnight.
1. I go to work at 8:00.
2. He eats lunch at noon.
I work on Saturdays.
He does laundry on Wednesdays.
To refer to extended time, use the prepositions "since," "for," "by," "during," "from…to,"
"from…until," "with," and "within."
Examples:
I have lived in Minneapolis since 2005. (I moved there in 2005 and still live there.)
He will be in Toronto for 3 weeks. (He will spend 3 weeks in Toronto.)
3. Prepositions of Place
To refer to a place, use the prepositions "in" (the point itself), "at" (the general vicinity), "on"
(the surface), and "inside" (something contained).
Example:
They will meet in the lunchroom.
To refer to an object higher than a point, use the prepositions "over" and "above." To refer to
an object lower than a point, use the prepositions "below," "beneath," "under," and
"underneath."
Examples:
To refer to an object close to a point, use the prepositions "by," "near," "next to," "between,"
"among," and "opposite."
Examples:
The gas station is by the grocery store.
The park is near her house.
4. Prepositions of Location
To refer to a location, use the prepositions "in" (an area or volume), "at" (a point), and "on" (a
surface).
Examples:
To refer to a spatial relationship, use the prepositions "above," "across," "against," "ahead
of," "along," "among," "around," "behind," "below," "beneath," "besides," "between," "from,"
"in front of," "inside," "near," "off," "out of," "through," "toward," "under," and "within."
Examples:
The post office is across the street from the grocery store.
We will stop at many attractions along the way.
The kids are hiding behind the tree.
A. Activity
“Group Activity”
The Teacher will group the students into four. Then teacher will give five minutes for
students review their notes about prepositions. After exactly 5 minutes, they will keep
their notes.
Direction:
Identify what prepositions used in the following sentences. The group who will get first
the 5 correct answers will get the perfect score merits 10 points. The rest group who did
not make it will get 5 points.

Direction:
Construct at least 10 sentences using the correct preposition that express place or location by
looking at the picture. You will write it in a 1 whole sheet of paper.
You will have 5 minutes to accomplish this activity. Each correct answer merit 2 points. So, a total
of 20 points.
VI. Assignment
Copy and answer. Write it your assignment notebook. Choose the correct preposition from the
word list below to fill in the blanks for each sentence.
