I. Search online for media outlets that use two or more modes of communication with their
customer. Examples are a news program on TV and a radio broadcast over the AM frequency.
Do a comparative analysis of the types of outlets communication network currently uses in
terms of the following:

1. Content:
Media outlets that utilize multiple modes of communication often tailor their content
differently across each platform to cater to the preferences and characteristics of their
respective audiences. Here are a few examples:

a) TV News Program and Radio Broadcast: TV news programs typically feature visual
content such as live reporting, interviews, and on-screen graphics. They can also
incorporate videos and footage to enhance storytelling. On the other hand, radio
broadcasts rely on audio content, including news updates, interviews, and commentary.
While both mediums cover similar news topics, the presentation and emphasis may differ
due to the nature of the medium.

b) Online News Platforms: Many media outlets have websites or online platforms that
offer a combination of written articles, images, videos, and audio content. They provide a
more diverse range of content to engage readers and viewers, accommodating different
preferences and consumption habits.

2. Audience Reach:
The audience reach of media outlets using multiple modes of communication can vary
depending on the medium and the target demographic. Here's an overview:

a) TV and Radio: Television and radio have traditionally enjoyed broad audience reach,
reaching a wide range of individuals who have access to these mediums. While TV has a
more visual impact, radio broadcasts can reach listeners while they are engaged in other
activities.

b) Online Platforms: Online platforms have the potential to reach a global audience, as
long as individuals have internet access. This allows media outlets to expand their reach
beyond geographical limitations and engage with diverse audiences.

3. Personal Preference:
Personal preference regarding media outlets and modes of communication can vary from
person to person. Some individuals may prefer the visual impact of TV news programs,
appreciating the live reporting and on-screen visuals. Others may enjoy the convenience
and mobility of radio broadcasts, as they can listen while multitasking. Additionally,
some people may prefer online platforms due to the variety of content formats available
and the ability to access news on-demand.

Ultimately, personal preference is subjective and influenced by factors such as individual

interests, lifestyle, and technological accessibility.

II. Essay.
1. What is the relevance of ICT in your chosen course?
● Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has revolutionized various industries,
and architecture is no exception. ICT has become an integral part of the architectural
profession, providing architects with numerous tools and technologies that enhance their
work processes and project outcomes. In this essay, we will explore the relevance of ICT
in architecture, focusing on its impact in design and visualization, collaboration and
communication, building information modeling (BIM), and sustainability and energy
analysis. ICT tools, such as computer-aided design (CAD) software, have transformed the
way architects conceive and develop their designs. CAD enables architects to create
detailed digital models of buildings, facilitating the exploration of design ideas and the
generation of accurate 2D and 3D representations. ICT has revolutionized the field of
architecture, offering architects a range of tools and technologies that enhance their work
processes and enable better project outcomes. Embracing ICT empowers architects to
push the boundaries of creativity, efficiency, and sustainability, ultimately contributing to
the advancement of the architectural profession and the built environment as a whole.

2. How can you incorporate the use of IT and ICT in your daily life?
● As an architecture student, incorporating the use of Information Technology (IT) and
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into your daily life can significantly
enhance your learning experience and productivity. These are the examples that IT and
ICT can incorporate in my daily life as an architecture student.

○ Design and Visualization: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to

create digital models of your architectural designs. Experiment with different

design iterations, explore material options, and visualize your ideas in 2D and 3D
formats.
○ Collaboration and Communication: Engage in online platforms and forums
specifically designed for architecture students to connect with peers, share ideas,
and seek feedback on your work. Utilize collaborative tools and cloud-based
platforms to facilitate teamwork on group projects, allowing for real-time sharing,
editing, and commenting on design documents.
○ Building Information Modeling (BIM): Familiarize yourself with BIM software
and incorporate it into your workflow. Use BIM tools to create and manage
comprehensive building models, collaborate with team members, and gain
insights into the coordination and construction aspects of your designs.
○ Portfolio and Presentation: Utilize digital platforms to showcase your work and
create an online portfolio. Showcase your designs, drawings, and models in a
visually appealing and easily accessible manner.
