Course Outline Proposal
TARGET GROUP
• This workshop is very
appropriate for all levels of
Front-Liner Staff who are
involved in service and sales.
This program is also applicable
to Administrative Staff who
deals with internal and
external customers.

HOSPITALITY, TOURISM COMPANY,
CUSTOMER SERVICE OPERATION
DEALING WITH AGENTS AND CLIENTS
AND BANKING INSTITUTIONS.
COURSE INTRODUCTION
• Correct and timely decision-making can be done using
specific techniques and enhanced knowledge of the self
and situations. During this Decision Making Training
Course, participants receive training in applying problem
solving to help decision making, identify appropriate
solutions, use creativity, evaluate situations and people,
predict outcomes, and more.
• Having a process to work through can take the anxiety
out of problem-solving and make decision-making easier.
That’s what this two-day workshop is all about.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
After completing this course, participants
will have learned to:

PRE COURSE REQUIREMENT

• Complete a questionnaire on decision making


styles
• Identify a current work-related problem and
prepare a short presentation to share with the
group
• In consultation with your manager, identify 2-3
development goals relating to your problem solving
& decision-making skills

• Problem environment: stakeholder analysis
• Defining the problem (SMART)
• Data collection Homework
• Improve the problem definition of the real-life
work case

• Identify causes
• Root cause analysis
• Converging and selecting the cause to focus on (Pareto analysis)
• Solutions: generating ideas
• Designing solutions
• Decision making Post-class assignments
• Participants prepare a plan for solving the work-related problem
and agree with a buddy to give each other feedback within two
weeks
• Participants share their ideas on how to address the work-
related problem with their manager

lecturer and was assigned for maintaining computer center at CCM. She was

Canon Camera (M) Sdn Bhd and after 2 years moved to Mattel (KL) Sdn Bhd
