Yes, even if you have only one exam delivery workstation at your Pearson VUE Test Center (PVTC),

you
still need both a testing administrator and a proctor. The testing administrator is responsible for
overseeing the exam delivery process, managing candidate check-in, and ensuring the smooth operation
of the testing center. On the other hand, the proctor plays a crucial role in monitoring the testing
environment, ensuring exam security, and supervising candidates during the exam. Both roles are
essential for maintaining the integrity of the testing process and providing a secure and controlled
testing environment, regardless of the number of exam delivery workstations available.

General question
Q. How much does it cost?
A. There is no cost for the site to become an authorized test center. Pearson VUE provides
the software and technical support services free of charge to your site. There are no initial
or ongoing fees. However, sites must meet minimum technical and facility requirements,
which include computer and testing room equipment along with an Enhanced Security
Protocol (ESP) kit. The ESP kit is available for purchase from Pearson VUE or from other
retailers.
Q. What is the ESP kit and how can I purchase it?
A. The ESP kit is used for checking in candidates; it includes two digital cameras (one
camera for backup) and a digital signature pad. The kit can be purchased from mindhub
pro, a Pearson VUE store, for $450*. If your country is not listed on mindhub.pro please
contact the Channel Sales team for purchasing details.
Sites may also purchase the equipment on their own, provided it meets the technical
requirements.
* Please be aware that the $450 includes expected shipping, handling and duty. Other
unexpected costs (including local VAT charges) related to clearance are to be paid by the
PVTC.
Q. Can we use laptops in our test center?
A. No, laptops cannot be used as workstations in Pearson VUE test centers; desktop PCs
are required. Please refer to the technical requirements for more information.
Q. Must the test center be dedicated to Pearson VUE testing?
A. During a Pearson VUE test session the room does not need to be dedicated to Pearson
VUE testing provided that all Pearson Policies and Procedures are being followed.
Q. Which exams are available to authorized test centers?
A.To view the list of exams now available to authorized test centers, visit the Deliver these
exams page. Available exams may differ based on test center location. Please contact your
regional Channel Sales team if you have any questions.
Q. Can a new business be approved to become a PVTC?
A. Your business will need to be in operation for at least 12 months. Your business must
also have a working website for at least 2 months. If your business has been in operation
less than 12 months contact your regional Channel Sales team for further information.
