JEE(ADVANCED)–2024 (EXAMINATION)
(Held On Sunday 26th MAY, 2024)

PHYSICS TEST PAPER WITH ANSWER

PAPER-2
SECTION-1 : (Maximum Marks : 12)
 This section contains FOUR (04) questions.
 Each question has FOUR options (A), (B), (C) and (D). ONLY ONE of these four options is the
correct answer.
 For each question, choose the option corresponding to the correct answer.
 Answer to each question will be evaluated according to the following marking scheme:
Full Marks : +3 If ONLY the correct option is chosen;
Zero Marks : 0 If none of the options is chosen (i.e. the question is unanswered);
Negative Marks : −1 In all other cases.

1. A region in the form of an equilateral triangle (in x-y plane) of height L has a uniform magnetic field
B pointing in the +z-direction. A conducting loop PQR, in the form of an equilateral triangle of the
same height L, is placed in the x-y plane with its vertex P at x = 0 in the orientation shown in the
figure. At t = 0, the loop starts entering the region of the magnetic field with a uniform velocity v
E
along the +x-direction. The plane of the loop and its orientation remain unchanged throughout its
motion.
