Auto provision

General description
The Auto provision screen is used to activate or deactivate the automatic provisioning of IP phones and IP

predefined period that cannot be modified (8 hours).

file:///C:/Users/USER/AppData/Local/Temp/~hhA5AE.htm 7/5/2024
Subscribers base stations list Page 11 of 121

Some types of IP phone sets and IP soft phones are automatically provisioned in the OXO Connect and are
immediately operational without any action from the system administrator. These IP phone sets get a
default profile that allows users to make external calls without restrictions. Anyone is free to connect to
an IP phone set or application and use it to make fraudulent operations like calling premium rate
numbers.
To avoid such fraudulent operations, the Auto provision screen allows you to deactivate or activate
temporarily the automatic provisioning on OXO Connect.
The current status of automatic provisioning configuration is indicated at the bottom of the Users/Base
stations list screen by a message: Automatic provisioning for IP phones deactivated or Automatic
provisioning for IP phones temporarily activated. The automatic provisioning status is not updated
dynamically.
Note: The automatic provisioning is activated. If the period of time for automatic provisioning has
expired while the Users/Base stations list screen is opened, then the status remains unchanged
(Automatic provisioning for IP phones temporarily activated). You must close and reopen the screen to
see the status change (Automatic provisioning for IP phones deactivated).
The automatic provisioning configuration is only available for installer session.

Comms. protocol

This field is used to define the protocol used to establish the relationship between data
terminal and V24 interfaced. This protocol (or dialog) is used to manage the data
transmission command phases: call set up and release. It offers the following functions:

Description l direct call,

l call addressed with numbering by the data terminal,
l automatic reply to an incoming call,
l reply controlled by the data terminal.
V.25bis 108/1 and 108/2
This protocol has been defined by the company Microcomputer Products Inc. It
operates in asynchronous data transmission mode. It is used a great deal to operate
with modems, and so is installed mostly in PC-compatible type data terminals. It
operates exclusively by command messages and indications on circuits 103 and 14.
Hayes
This protocol has been defined in the recommendation of the same name produced
Values by the CCITT. It operates in synchronous and asynchronous data transmission mode.
It combines the action of the various control circuits of the V24 interface, the
sending and use of command messages and indications on circuits 103 and 104.
Automatic
This protocol is used to set up incoming calls in circuit mode with asynchronous data
terminals. It allows a data terminal to connect to data devices such as printers. It
does not require any dialog between the data device and V24 interface to which it is
connected: this means that the data call is set up and released by the remote data
terminal.

DSR

Description This screen is used to define the operating mode of the DSR signal.

Multi-set configuration

General description
The configuration of a multi-set is started on the Subscriber screen and is continued on the Secondary
sets modification screen.
A multi-set is a set of up to 3 handsets which share:
l a single directory number
l a single mailbox
l the same call characteristics (features, barring, etc)
Therefore, a call to the multi-set directory number causes all the associated handsets to ring. The multi-
set may be a mixture of fixed terminals and cordless handsets; for example, you could configure your
desk phone and a cordless phone to form a multi-set.
A multi-set is configured as a main set with one or two secondary sets. To configure or modify a multi-
set:
1. Enter the Subscriber screen for the main set of the multi-set, as follows:
1. Select Users/Base stations List.
2. Select the main set of the multi-set from the list of terminals.
3. Press the Details button.

In the Dir. Numbers area of the Subscriber screen, the Int No field will show the internal
directory number of the main handset of the multi-set.
2. To select or modify the secondary set(s), click on the button to the right of the Secondary set
field. This takes you to the Secondary sets modification screen.
3. Perform the necessary secondary set configuration as follows:
¡ To add a secondary set to the multi-set, select the internal directory number of the desired
secondary set in the Non-members field and then press the Add button to the right.
¡ To remove a secondary set from the multi-set, select the internal directory number of the
relevant secondary set in the Members field and then press the Delete button to the right.
4. Once you have completed the required changes, press the OK button for the changes to take
effect. The following modifications will then be implemented:
¡ The new secondary set(s) will adopt the directory number, mailbox and characteristics
(features, barring, dynamic routing, password, diversions, etc) of the main set.
¡ The mailbox of each secondary set will be deleted.

Multi-set modifications are only possible from the main set configuration on the Subscriber
NOTE:
screen.

If you select the Subscriber screen for a secondary set, the screen allows configuration of the secondary
set but note the following differences:
l A Main set field appears in the Dir. Numbers area showing the internal number of the main set
with which the secondary set is associated, but the button to the right of this field is grayed out.

file:///C:/Users/USER/AppData/Local/Temp/~hhA5AE.htm 7/5/2024
Subscribers base stations list Page 49 of 121

l The common multi-set characteristics (features, barring, dynamic routing, password, diversions,
etc) are not changeable from secondary set configuration and the corresponding buttons on the
Subscriber screen are grayed out.

Restrictions
The following restrictions apply to multi-sets:
l A maximum of 2 secondary sets can used (giving a maximum of 3 handsets in a multi-set).
l An individual handset (whether main or secondary) can be included in only one multi-set.

You cannot use a multi-set as an ACD (Automated Call Distribution) agent or supervisor. If
IMPORTANT:
you do, the ACD calls will not be correctly processed.

General description
This screen is used to enable or disable a diversion to a handset using PC programming.

ATTENTION: It is important to specify the type of calls that may be diverted from the handset
selected via the Handset configuration: Dynamic routing screen.
In the case of diversion to an external destination, remember to:
l give the handset the Incoming / Outgoing and Outgoing / Incoming joining rights
on the screen Handset configuration: Category of services (Part 2) screen,
l authorize the system to transfer an incoming or outgoing network line to an
outgoing network line on the Subscribers misc. (Part 1) screen,

General description
This feature key is used to establish a communication between a correspondent on hold and a current
correspondent. The latter is not necessarily on line with the user. The transfer can take place either:
l after talking to the second correspondent,
l when the user detects the callback (the second correspondent did not answer),
l when the user is on hold on the extension of the second correspondent.
l when the user has activated paging for the second correspondent (he/she has not yet answered
the paging),
l in the routing phase for the second call after dialing an external number.
This key requires no parameters.

ATTENTION: Remember to:

l authorize the system to transfer an incoming or outgoing network line to an
outgoing network line (pay attention to the link categories of the subscribers and
trunk groups) on the Subscribers misc. (Part 1) screen,

Transfer to VMU

General description
This feature allows an incoming call to a subscriber's phone set to be transferred to the Voice Mail Unit
(VMU) of another subscriber.
There are two ways in which this feature can be implemented, depending on the phone set used:
l by feature code (all phone sets)
l by User Programmable Key (if supported by the phone set)
These are described below.

By feature code
On all phones, the Transfer to VMU function can be performed for an incoming call using a numeric
feature code. Once the incoming call has been answered, this code is typed into the phone's keypad
followed by the extension number of the subscriber to whose VMU the call is to be transferred.
To use this feature, it must first be enabled (for all phones in the system) in the OMC tool, as follows:
1. In OMC, navigate down the path Common Data > Features in Conversation.
2. In the Features in Conversation screen, select the "Transfer to VMU" option in the Feature field.
3. In both the Start and End fields, enter the numeric feature code that you wish to use for this
function.
4. Click on the Add button and then on the OK button.

By User Programmable Key (UPK)

On phone sets that support User Programmable Keys (UPKs), a dedicated key can be programmed to
implement the Transfer to VMU function. Once the incoming call has been answered, the function can be
performed by simply pressing this key followed by the extension number of the subscriber to whose VMU
the call is to be transferred.
To use the feature in this way (on a suitable phone), it must first be enabled (for the phone) in the OMC
tool, as follows:
1. In OMC, navigate to the Users/Basestations List screen.
2. In the list, identify the subscriber/basestation (of a suitable type) for which the feature is to be
enabled and double-click it. This displays the Subscriber screen for the selected
subscriber/basestation.
3. Click the Keys button. This displays the Subscriber Keys screen for the selected
subscriber/basestation.
4. In the on-screen plan of the set's keypad, click the key that you wish to program with this
function. This displays the Individual Key Programming screen for the selected key.

5. In the Key Function field, select the "Transfer to VMU" option.

6. If the phone set has a graphical display, enter a name for the key (such as "VMU transfer") in the
Key Label field.
7. Click the OK button.

Supervision Groupware

General description
This feature key, available as of OmniPCX Office RCE R9.0, allows a set to act as a supervisor and receive
notifications (display of both calling and called parties) for incoming calls presented to specified
subscribers. This feature is available for recent handsets.

Up to 50 supervision keys can be defined on a PBX; including Groupware, Manager and Assistant
supervision functions. The groupware supervision keys are a type of feature keys. Their parameters are
set on the screen Individual key programming.

The time for the display of a notification or application pop-up can be modified via Timer labels:
l The NotiAppTim label specifies the display time of the notification application (3 seconds by
default)
l The TmpMenLTim label specifies the display time of the notification pop-up (5 seconds by default)

NOTE: It is possible to configure several Supervision Groupware keys on the same supervisor phone set.

Fields description
Monitored No.

This field is used to define the supervised directory numbers.

Description
If the external calls must be supervised, the DDI extension number must also be added.
Content 8 directory numbers maximum

As for Selective Monitoring, this key allows to monitor all the direct calls to the supervised
subscriber.
However, there is no notification for calls forwarded or diverted to a supervised
subscriber, or for calls distributed via a group call (hunting group, attendant group).
Restrictions
Direct calls to the primary set cannot be monitored by a Supervision key defined with the
directory number of the secondary set. To supervise a call to a Multi-set, the Supervision
key has to be defined with the directory number of the primary set.
An ACD group call CAN be supervised provided that the ACD agent is supervised by another
PBX subscriber. This is possible because the ACD engine calls the ACD agent directly using

file:///C:/Users/USER/AppData/Local/Temp/~hhA5AE.htm 7/5/2024

the directory number and the ACD engine makes a transfer from the virtual ACD port to
the ACD agent.
