ULTRA SOUND SCAN OF ABDOMEN


Liver is of normal size(146.0 mm). Echo-texture is normal. No focal space occupying lesion is
seen within liver parenchyma. Intra hepatic biliary channels are not dilated.
Gall bladder is of normal size. Wall is not thickened. A focal echogenic polyp (4.5
mm)seen. A lobulated focal hypoechoic area ( 16.1 x 7.7 mm) seen along the
antero-inferior aspect of gall bladder wall- ? focal cystic outpouching, Prominent
rakitannstky sinus. No obvious calculus is seen in gall bladder. Visualised common bile duct
appears normal.
Pancreas is of normal size and contour. Echo-pattern is normal. No focal lesion is seen within
pancreas.
Spleen is of normal size(114.0 mm) and shape. Echotexture is normal. No focal lesion is
seen.
Right kidney is normally sited and is of normal size and shape. Kidney measures 101.0 x
39.1 mm. Cortico-medullary echoes are normal. No focal lesion is seen.
Collecting system does not show any dilatation or calculus.

Left kidney is normally sited and is of normal size and shape. Kidney measures 97.5 x 49.5
mm. Cortico-medullary echoes are normal. No focal lesion is seen.
Collecting system does not show any dilatation or calculus.
Urinary bladder does not show any calculus or mass lesion.
Prostate is of normal size and echo-texture.
Few rounded homogenous lymph nodes are seen in small bowel mesentery, largest
measuring 9 mm in short axis diameter.
No retro-peritoneal lesion is identified. Great vessels appear normal.
Moderate ascites is seen.
IMPRESSION: * Moderate ascites.
* Gall bladder polyp.
* Mesenteric lymphadenopathy.

Advised: CECT whole abdomen to r/o etiology.
