Welcome Hello everyone, Welcome! I am looking forward to working and learning
message with you over the next few weeks. Our course is structured in weekly
modules over the next 12 weeks.
The course focuses on providing learners with critical resources in managing
and leading organizations. It provides a comprehensive introduction to the
themes and functions of management, management theory and practice.
Students will learn about management and what managers do as they prepare
for the workplace.
Finally, I know this semester is quite different from usual, and you may have
concerns about how this semester will unfold. Please do reach out to share

Description The course is designed to provide learners with an overview of the
management functions and its role in organizations and society. The course
focuses on providing learners with analytical, developmental, managerial,
and technical skills that relate to managerial positions in organizations. This
course anchors on critical management skills involved in planning,
organizing, controlling, leading and decision making in an organization. This
course develops a "systems" view of organizations that examine
organizations as part of a context, including but not limited to environment,
strategy, structure, tasks, people, and outputs.
Audience Level 100 Students

Course The purpose of this course is to appreciate and understand the managerial
Objective process, the practical problems that the manager is likely to encounter and to
offer some guidelines to their solution.
This course will enable learning about:
1. The managerial process

4. Business Ethics
5. Corporate social responsibility
6. The changing roles of managers in contemporary organizations
and function
Expected  Demonstrate theoretical knowledge in management course.

 Describe the effective management skills needed to maximize
