Adjectives describe a noun. Adverbs describe a verb.

Be very specific about what you can see. How many
years does the graph show? What is the information
about? Change the words from the question
(paraphrase), so you don’t lose points for repetition.

them in the same paragraph and compare them.

Use words like ‘more than’, ‘the biggest’, ‘the

Give an Overview
• The main trends (try not to write specific data)
• Words you might want to use: Overall,
‘most/least’
• Look at the start and end to get an overall
idea of the trend. If it is lower at the start and
higher at the end, the overall trend is
upwards.
