1. CLOU BESS

1.1 Introduction

CLOU BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) consists of battery system (including energy

storage battery and battery management system), Fire Suppression System (FSS), Liquid
Cooling System and other main components. CLOU BESS solution is designed under the
principle of installation space reduction, safety, environmental protection to reduce the

construction cycle and promote the sustainable development of the environment.

CLOU containerized BESS solution consists of the following:

 Battery system: including 10 racks, each rack consists of 8 modules and a control

Unit), EMMU (Environment Monitor Management Unit).

The battery module consists of fifty-two (52) 280Ah / 3.2V LFP (Lithium-ion Iron Phosphate)
cells and one (1) Battery Management Unit (BMU). The cells are assembled in “1P52S” (P -
parallel, S - series) configuration. The BMU is the minimum BMS unit, which shall monitor

The external cables interfaces are located at the bottom of the enclosure as shown above. The

smaller hole on the left is the communication cable outlet hole. The smaller hole on the right is the
auxiliary power cables/wires outlet hole. The larger one is the DC power cable outlet hole. The
connection method and penetration sealing for enclosures is responsibility of the owner. The
