NARRATIVE REPORT
SCHOOL LEARNING ACTION CELL
“STRENGTHENING TEACHERS PRACTICES THROUGH INNOVATIVE PROJECTS”

School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) is a platform where teachers could come together to collaborate, share ideas,
and learn from each other. The aim of SLAC is to improve the quality of education by incorporating modern technology into
the teaching process.
The Cabalaoangan Elementary School conducted a School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) entitled
“STRENGTHENING TEACHERS PRACTICES THROUGH INNOVATIVE PROJECTS” on April 25, 2024. The
LAC was participated and attended by 15 teachers and one (1) School Head. The session focused on lectures on the content
and salient features of DepEd Memorandum #423, s. 2023, Standard Templates and Guidelines in Writing Innovative
Projects and Different Innovative Projects to strengthen teachers’ practices.

Planning Phase. On the 2nd week and 3rd week of April, 2024, the school head and teachers conducted needs analysis
to determine the weaknesses and strengths of the teachers. The preparation of communication letter to conduct LAC was
done on the 3rd week of April, 2024, and then it was followed by the preparation of materials needed and LAC venue.

Implementation Phase. The School Learning Action Cell had been undertaken on April 25, 2024, wherein it started
with the preliminaries followed by the checking of attendance by Mrs. Marites O. Bullecer, Teacher III. The session began
with a presentation by Dr. Albert M. Bertudez, who discussed the content and salient features of DM #423, s. 2023. He
motivated the teachers to develop their own innovations to enhance their teaching practices.
Mrs. Marites J. Lomibao, Teacher III and Grade 2 adviser is the speaker for the next session. She discussed about the
Standard Templates and Guidelines in Writing Innovative Projects. The teachers were very eager to learn, as seen on their
faces.

As the sessions progressed, the teachers became more confident and enthusiastic about writing innovation to
strengthen their teaching practices. The third speaker, Mrs. Angelita D. Obaña, Teacher III and Grade 2 adviser talks about
the Different Innovative Projects to strengthen teachers’ practices. She gave some examples of Innovative Projects to apply
in the school and in the classroom.

Evaluation Phase. Feedbacks has been given by the participant right after the session. The teachers engaged in group
discussions and brainstorming activities. The participants were very active. The session went smoothly and successfully.
After the sequence of sessions, the participants were already equipped with the knowledge , attitudes and practices of the
teachers to achieve better and positive school and learners’ performance.
