India is a country with a long history of courage and sacrifices. India is a country with many
conflicts, which has impacted our course of our nation's history. The three most impactful
and fearful battles / incidents in the history of India were experienced at the historical
locations of Kargil, Jallianwala Bagh and Longewala. These are places of India’s unstable
past, these battle landscapes that have once stood will never fade. The article is about the
historical places and brief about each place and conclusion of the places.
The conflict that unfolded in 1999 between India and Pakistan met its ultimate conclusion in
Kargil, the Kargil war was one of the largest and deadliest of the clashes. The Kargil war had
begun in early May when the Indian military learned that Pakistan fighters had infiltrated
Indian territory. Bitter fighting took place in the harsh terrain 5,000 metres (16,400 feet)
above sea level.The Kargil War is a must visit place for dark tourism in India, because it is

The Battle of Longewala was one of the most decisive battles fought in the Thar desert, the
Western sector during the India - Pakistan War of 1971. The war took place on the night of
04/05 December 1971, Pakistan forces comprising 4000 soldiers, with ammunition and
tanks, one of the most popular ones being the T-59 & Sherman tanks. The artillery battery
attacked Longewala border post held by 23 PUNJAB, Indian soldiers bravely supported the
post and requisitioned support of IAF, at the dawn of 5th December 1971. If you want to

The Jallianwala Bagh incident on April/13/1919, in which British troops fired on a large crowd
of unarmed Indians in an open area, which is commonly known as the Jallianwala Bagh

modern history, it also has left a scar on the Indo - British relations, this has prelude to
Mahatma Gandhi’s full commitment to the cause of Indian nationalism, the main man behind
