PROCEDURE RESULT REVIEW DATE

SARS-COV-2 Real Time PCR SARS-COV-2 NOT DETECTED(Negative) Date: 16/08/2021 03:18 PM

METHOD USED:
The detection is done in one step real time format where the reverse transcription and the subsequent amplification of specific target sequence occur in
the same reaction well. The isolated RNA target is transcribed generating complementary DNA by reverse transcriptase which is followed by the
amplification of a conserved region of two different genes for SARS-COV-2 using specific primers and a fluorescent-labeled probe.

COMMENTS (Interpretation, Cautionary or Explanatory Notes):

Negative samples are reported as “SARS-COV-2 NOT DETECTED”. Positive samples are reported as “ SARS-COV-2 DETECTED”. Negative results
indicate that the viral RNA is either not present in the specimen, or is present in a concentration below the assays limit of detection, or is present but was
not detected due to PCR inhibitors. PCR result should not be the sole basis for the diagnosis of infection. Results should be interpreted in the context of
all available laboratory and clinical settings. COVID-19 test has been performed in Abu Dhabi.
