1. Press MOB button on GPS & ECDIS □
2. Release MOB lifebuoy & marker on the man overboard side □
3. Switch to hand steering □
4. Give helm hard over on the man overboard side □
5. Commence recovery maneuverer, such as a Williamson turn Time:
6. Sound three prolonged blasts on the ship’s whistle and repeat as necessary □
7. Report to Master Time:
8. Inform C/E and D/Eng. Time:
9. Broadcast Distress message by VHF Time:

10. Advise the notifying person to keep a continuous lookout on the man □

Section VII - 【Rescue Preparation】


1. Prepare rescue boat and crew □
2. Prepare stretcher, blankets and first-aid kit, hospital / bathtub (If applicable) □
3. Prepare ropes / pilot ladder / accommodation ladder/ gangway nets / heaving □
lines / lifebuoy with lifelines / line throwing apparatus etc.
4. Distribute GMDSS two-way VHF transceivers to the rescue boat team □
Section VIII - 【Rescue Operation】
1. Launch rescue boat Time:
