Start your class with an activity named: “Irregular Verb Ball Toss”
Let’s start with a quick and easy one that always goes over well with my students. Bring in a
rubber ball (or use a small eraser, a scrunched-up ball of paper, or anything else that’s light and
safe to throw) and let the game begin! You may want to let students refer to a list of irregular
verbs when they’re first learning them, but later on you can play it without the list. I prefer not to
keep score during this game, but you may choose to. You can also choose if you should correct
any mistakes or if another student should do it.
 Choose an irregular verb and say the base form out loud.
 Say the name of a student and toss the ball to them.
 The student must catch the ball and say the past form.
 That student then chooses another verb and repeats the steps above.
 Continue until all the students have had a turn or two.
If there is need go over the use of past simple with them again and review the use and and how
past simple of irregular verbs is formed.
Ndërtimi i njohurive të reja
After explaining and reviewing the grammar and seeing that students have understood the present
continuous tense match as a class the verbs of exercise 6 with the past form of these verbs. Then
start with practice exercises to check their understanding: Exercise 7 where they have to
complete the text with the verbs in the past simple.
If time or more practice is needed go over some other exercises from WB.
Prezantimi dhe demostrimi i rezultateve të arritura
In order to reflect on the learning students will be asked to do Ex. 8 page 71 where they have to
use the cues to write true sentences in past simple about their life and tell it to their friends.

I will evaluate based on observations, assessing answers, assessing group work and assessing
home work.
