MOTIVATION LETTER

Dear Scholarship selection committee,

I believe that opportunities do not just come, they have to be taken with bold steps and a ready
heart. Armed with that courage and readiness, I wanted to seize the opportunity by obtaining a
scholarship from the Turkiye Burslari Scholarship.
My name is A’maluna Karimata M. Nur. I am a fresh graduate from the University of
Darussalam Gontor majoring in Studies of Religion as the Ushuluddin Faculty with a focus on
the Science of Comparative Religions, Phenomenology of Religions, Religion Studies
(Christology, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism), and Contemporary Issues in Islamic Thought. I
have decided to apply for this program because I am sure it would strongly enrich my future
studies.
Since my freshwoman year, I realized that there are many things that need to be improved
regarding religious values and Islamic civilization. As a consequence, I tried to learn as much as
I can regarding exploring religious knowledge as much as possible with the aim of contributing
to the improvement of Islamic civilization in the world.
I believe that it is not enough just to have the knowledge, so, during my prior studies I am not
just a student collegian. I have studied and gained a lot of experience by being a teacher at the
Islamic Teacher Training College of Gontor since graduating as a student of this boarding school.
I was also one of those who were active in teaching and helping the boarding school, in the last
two years I have become a master of classes in which I teach Islamic studies such as Tafsir
lessons. Many experiences I got also being the Documentation and Publications Division of the
Student Council where I usually publish about Islamic activities in my college.
Armed with all these experiences, I successfully applied this knowledge in my final project
research and then got the opportunity to become a speaker at a National Conference about
Islamic Education. These also strengthened my dream to be a Lecturer and would like to
contribute as much as I can to improve Islamic civilization in the future. Through this
opportunity, I hope I can educate young generations on how important learning religion is.
To be able to successfully do this, I would like to deepen my knowledge of Islamic Studies. One
of my plans is by taking the Ushuluddin Master Program at University in Turkiye which highly
upholds Islamic values.
Additionally, supposed I am chosen to be one of the candidates for this scholarship program and
hopefully, Turkiye Burslari Scholarship Committee could trust me to get a scholarship. I am sure
that I can make the best use of this scholarship for the development of myself and the people in
the world.
Thank you for considering my request and your kind attention, I look forward to your positive
response.

Yours faithfully,
A’maluna Karimata M. Nur, S.Ag
