‘You might also have a group interview, in which you are either interviewed by a panel, or interviewed
along with a group of candidates.’
1. Can you introduce a little bit about yourself?
=> I am highly dedicated and ambitious. Every time I start a new campaign, I aim to win an award or
nomination. Of course, my ultimate goal is to please the client. But the fact that I aim high has resulted
in at least 20 industry awards and nominations.
For example, I once led a project for a client who was sure that he didn’t want to add digital media to
his campaign budget. He wasn’t behind the times, but he was sure that his client-base was. My Creative
Director asked that I get the client on board. So, I created some samples, and I put together a
presentation. I set out to show the client that he was missing an entire demographic of untapped
customers.
He was sold. He added digital media to his campaign budget making my boss happy. The work I put
into the digital campaign to impress the client was above and beyond what we normally do. The result
was two Cannes Lions awards.
2. Describe a situation you solved in the past. (USING ‘STAR’ METHOD)
=>When there are team conflicts or issues, I always try my best to step up as team leader if needed. I
think my communication skills make me an effective leader and moderator. For example, once I was
working on a team project, and two of the team members got into an argument, both refusing to
complete their assignments. They were both dissatisfied with their workloads, so I arranged a team
meeting where we rearranged the assignments for the team. This made everyone happier and more
productive, and our project was a success.
3. What is your greatest strength?
=> I pride myself on my customer service skills and my ability to resolve what could be difficult
situations. I have an extremely strong work ethic. When I'm working on a project, I don't want just to
meet deadlines. Rather, I prefer to complete the project well ahead of schedule.
4. What is your greatest weakness?
=> I like to make sure that my work is perfect, so I tend to perhaps spend a little too much time
checking it. However, I've come to a good balance by setting up a system to ensure everything is done
the first time correctly. I used to wait until the last minute to set appointments for the coming week, but
I realized that scheduling in advance makes much more sense.
5. Are you the best person for this job? Why?
=> I have the savvy, experience, and superior communication ability to be an asset to your company. I
will bring patience and creative problem-solving, to this position.
6. How do you handle pressure?
=> Pressure is very important to me. Good pressure, such as having a lot of assignments to work on, or
an upcoming deadline, helps me to stay motivated and productive. Of course, there are times when too
much pressure can lead to stress; however, I am very skilled at balancing multiple projects and meeting
deadlines, which prevents me from feeling stressed often. I react to situations, rather than to stress.
That way, the situation is handled and doesn't become stressful. I actually work better under pressure,
and I've found that I enjoy working in a challenging environment.
7. How do you measure success?
=> For me, success is about doing my job well. I want to be recognized as someone who always does
their best and tries their hardest to make my goals. I evaluate success based on not only my work, but
the work of my team. In order for me to be considered successful, the team needs to achieve both our
individual and our team goals.
