Results and Discussion

The test was administered to obtain a concise measure of the five major dimensions of personality
and their respective facets using NEO Personality Inventory-3. This test measures the five major
domains of personality (Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness, Agreeableness, and
Conscientiousness) and the six most important facets that define each domain

The subject scored 134 for Neuroticism and the interpretation is Very High which means that the
subject was more likely to be susceptible to psychological distress. Neuroticism out of which,
Depression contributed the most with a score of 28; the interpretation being Very High. The subject
scored 23 for Anxiety followed by Vulnerability with a score of 22, both with the interpretation being
High. The subject has Very High levels of Anger and Hostility interpreted by a score of 21 and High
levels of Impulsivity and Self-Consciousness interpreted by a score of 20. These scores indicate that
the subject experiences negative emotions almost to an extreme such that she is unable to be
comfortable with herself, is often worried about things, is short-tempered, less able to control her
impulses, is prone to irrational and is unable to cope with stress. The score for Neuroticism is the
second highest among the five main domains of the NEO Personality Inventory but the Highest of all
in terms of individual scaling

For the domain of Extraversion, the Subject scored 110, indicating Average levels of Extraversion. The
subject scored the highest for the facet of Excitement-Seeking with a score of 26 and an
interpretation of Very High. From this we come to know that the subject is a sensation seeker and
loves stimulation that is in her definition energetic and optimistic. The Subject has Average levels of
Gregariousness, Assertiveness and Positive Emotions with scores 15, 17 and 21 respectively while for
Warmth, she scored 16 with a low interpretation indicating that the subject is hard to get to know.
The score for Extraversion is the third highest among the five domains of the NEO Personality
Inventory as well while comparing among individual scaling.

The Subject has Very High Levels of Openness with a score 142 which implies that the subject is quite
an open individual with a vivid imagination and a taste for philosophical discussions. For the facets of
Aesthetic and Ideas, both have a score of 28 with and interpretation of Very High. This shows that
the subject believes in the importance of art and likes complex problems. The score for Fantasy gives
a Very High interpretation as well with a score of 25. This interpretation states that the Subject is
more likely to daydream most of the time, having a vivid imagination; while for the facet of Action,
the subject scored 20, with a High interpretation implying that the subject prefers variety to routine.
With scores 20 and 21 for the facets of Feelings and Values respectively, the interpretation for both is
Average thus, suggesting Average levels of the such. The score for Openness is the highest among the
five domains in the NEO Personal Inventory but second highest in comparison to the rest in terms of
individual scaling

In the domain of Agreeableness, the subject achieved a score of 98 with an interpretation of Low,
suggesting the subject could be an antagonist or a disagreeable person. Scoring the highest for
Modesty, with a score of 29 and an interpretation of Very High, it implies that the subject dislikes
being the centre of attention while for the facet of Straightforwardness, she attained a score of 15
with a low interpretation, suggesting she has a sharp tongue. The lowest score attained amongst the
facets of Agreeableness was 9, which was attained in the facet of Trust, gives a very low
interpretation, thus claiming that the subject does not trust easily. The score for Agreeableness is the
second lowest among the five domains of the NEO Personal Inventory and also in comparison to the
rest in individual scaling.

Finally, for the domain of Conscientiousness, subject scored 82 with a Very Low interpretation. This
does not mean the subject lacks in morals but is more likely to be maximise pleasure over pain. In
other words, they tend to not be strict with themselves or be disciplined when it comes to certain
responsibilities. The subject has Very Low levels of Order, Dutifulness, and Self-Discipline with scores
10, 16 and 9 respectively indicating that the subject usually breaks rules, is more likely to waste time
and can get messy. She attained an Average score of 22 for Achievement-Striving with an Average
interpretation, hinting that the subject does enough to get by. The score for Conscientiousness is the
lowest among the five domains of the NEO Personal Inventory as well as in comparison to the rest in
terms of individual scaling.

From these scores and discussions, the subject has scored the highest for Neuroticism and Openness
and lowest for Conscientiousness further stating that subject is neurotic, open and not so
conscientious and agreeable. It is also observed that some of the scores of the facets do not resonate
with the subject and most probably contradicts the principle and actions of the subject. Also,
through studies and research, personality can change over time and considering the age of the
subject, that being 20, there is still time for her to change up until the ideal age of 30 when most
individuals reach maturity and their personalities being to solidify.

Conclusion:

The subject has very high levels of Neuroticism.

The subject has Average levels of Extraversion.

The subject has Very High Levels of Openness to Experience.

The subject has Low Levels of Agreeableness.

The subject has very Low Levels of Conscientiousness.
