On printing
If a hard (paper) copy is required of the documents that you will find in the iEnabler, printing is the
responsibility of each individual iEnabler user.
o In Firefox, the print functionality can be found under the “hamburger” menu option in the top
right of your browser screen.
• You can also use the “Save Page As…” functionality that is part of most browsers.

o You can then download this file to a memory stick and use the services of your local Internet
Café that offers these printing services.
o Once a document is saved on your device, it is also possible to email the document to your
employer, parents or guardian.

1. Use the iEnabler link to open the ITS student iEnabler
2. Enter your student number

1. Click on the “Forgot Pin” button

a. Enter your recovered pin and click on the “Login” button

b. You should see something like this:

Change your current (known) pin
1. Use the iEnabler link to open the ITS student
2. iEnabler and enter your student number and pin
3. Click on the “Change Pin” button
4. Enter your new pin. It is required to enter it twice to verify the correctness of your pin. Must be 5 digits,
non-consecutive numbers and do not start with 0 (zero)

6. Click on the “Back” button in the iEnabler
7. Now enter the pin received per email and click on login

8. You are now logged in

1. Open the “ Student Enquiry” Business Process
2. Click on the “Aged Statement of Account” option.
3. You will be confronted by an “empty” screen
4. Ensure that you scroll to the top of the page
5. Then choose an “age” period from the dropdown menu
6. You will then be presented with the statement for the ageing period that you have chosen.
7. Use the “Printer Friendly Format” button to print a copy of the statement

2. Enter you student number and pin and click on the “Login” button.
3. Forgot your pin? Read the “Retrieve your Pin” section to help you retrieve your pin or to create a new
pin.
4. After you are logged in, you should see the following page with your details (details in the example
were obfuscated to protect the innocent). This is also called the “Landing Page”

5. The area marked with the heading “A. Business processes and Options” is the menu structure where you
will be able to choose different actions to perform in the different Business Processes (BP)
6. The area marked with the heading “B. Processing area” is the place where you will enter data or see the
results of a report action
7. To open a Business Process (BP), click on the Business Process description e.g. click on “ Academic
Application” to open the business process. To close the Business Process, click on the description again.

The PoR as a formatted PDF document
1. If you have a decent Internet Connection and access to sufficient data, you can access a nicely formatted
PDF document with your latest registration information
2. Click on “Enrolment Detail - PDF” and the document will open in the Processing Area on the right
(beware of slow connections and be patient)

3. In most browsers, when you move your pointing device on the PDF document area, you will get a pop-
up header that is much like the Adobe Acrobat reader with which you can save or print the document
4. Click the download arrow icon to save the document to your device
5. Click the printer icon to print the document.
6. This document only gives you data of your last/latest/maximum academic year. The example above
gives the registration period as
a. “Registration Period: 03-jan-2019 to 15-Dec-2019”
7. The example below, is for a student that was last registered in 2015:

If you do not have access to fast internet connections or you are low on data, this is the second option. But there
are restrictions
1. Click on the “Proof of Registration” option.
2. If you are not registered in the current academic year, you will get the following message:

3. If you are registered in the current academic year, you will get the next version of the PoR:
5. You can click on the “ ” button which will open a new web page. You can then
use your browser’s print functionality to print the document

b. You can use the horizontal Scroll Bar to scroll the screen to the right to see more information
3. Use the “Academic Admission Status” option under the “Student Enquiry” business process

4. In both options, the column with the heading “Status” indicate what the progression of your application
is.

Detail Address/Contacts Enquiry
1. Open the “ Student Enquiry” Business Process
2. Use this option to check that your contact details are correct. This will enable the university to
effectively communicate with you.

If your contact details are not up to date or simply incorrect use this option to update, correct or create new
details

3. Click on any record and update the information if it is not correct
4. Alternatively, you can click on the “New Record” button. Use the “magnifier” icon ( ) to get a list of
the available address types and postal codes

Qualifications Awarded
1. Open the “ Student Enquiry” Business Process
2. To see and print the qualifications awarded to you by SMU, click on “Qualifications Awarded”
3. There is a “ ” button to enable you to print the list of qualifications awarded.

Academic Record
1. Open the “ Student Enquiry” Business Process
2. Click on the “Academic Record” option

3. The system will open a page with all the qualifications that you were registered for
4. Click the “tick-box” next to any (or all) of the qualifications and then click on the “
” button
5. This will open a page with your subjects and the results per qualification and year.
6. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to get the “ ” button that will enable you to
print a hard copy or save a copy of the document on your device.
