Name VIKAS SOLANKI M/28Y (LT) Age 28 - M

Date 27/05/2023 Patient Id 7417

Referring Doctor DR.VAIBHAV ATERKAR Center Paramount Diagnostic center

MRI OF LEFT KNEE JOINT:

MR imaging of left knee was performed using and high resolution 3.0mm T1-and T2 weighted
and proton density serials sections were obtained in the sagittal, axial and coronal planes
using a dedicated quadrature extremity coil with high strength gradient.

FINDINGS:

Fluid: Mild intra-articular, peri-articular & supra-patellar region fluid collection as evidenced
by hyperintense signal on T2W images.
Medial compartment:

- Medial meniscus: There is noted horizontal & vertical hyperintensity reaching upto the
articular margins in the posterior horn of medial meniscus suggestive of complex grade III
tear..

- Medial collateral ligament: normal.

- Medial femoral condyle cartilage: normal.

- Medial tibial plateau cartilage: normal.

Lateral compartment:

- Lateral meniscus: There is noted hyperintensity reaching upto the articular margins in the
posterior horn of lateral meniscus suggestive of large Radial tear.
- Lateral collateral ligament complex: Normal.

- Lateral femoral condyle cartilage: normal.

- Lateral tibial plateau cartilage: normal.

Posterolateral corner:

Popliteus tendon: Normal.

Popliteofibular ligament: Normal.
Proximal tibio-fibular joint: Normal.
Anterior compartment:

Quadriceps tendon: Normal.

Patellar tendon: Normal.

Retinaculum: Medial - Normal.

Lateral: Normal.
Patellar cartilage: normal.

Trochlea: Normal.
Hoffa fat pad: Normal.

Intercondylar compartment:

Post operative implant artifact is seen in femoral condyle and in tibial condyle.

- Reconstructed anterior cruciate ligament: The study reveals evidence of lack of

visualization of the normally black anterior cruciate ligament. The anterior cruciate ligament
and periligamental space are replaced by fluid and edematous soft tissue indicates
complete anterior cruciate ligament tear. (Re-tear in reconstructed ACL)
- Posterior cruciate ligament: Posterior cruciate ligament shows buckling no definite
evidence of
tear.

Bones (other than sub articular marrow): Normal.

Muscles: Normal.
Vessels: Normal.
Nerves: Normal.

IMPRESSION: The MR findings are suggestive of:-

Re-tear in reconstructed ACL.

Radial tear in lateral meniscus.
Complex grade III tear in posterior horn of medial meniscus.
Mild intra-articular, peri-articular & supra-patellar region fluid collection.
No evidence of collateral ligament tear.
